Obama’s alter ego, Valerie Jarrett, has a Bermuda bank account according to ABC News -

…Valerie Jarrett’s financial disclosure form filed May 4 lists a line of credit from a Bermuda insurance company valued between $100,000 and $250,000.

“This is a letter of credit disclosed in the liability section of the personal financial disclosure form, meaning it is a potential obligation, not an asset,” White House spokesman Eric Schultz said in a statement. “In fact, a letter of credit is something that you pay for – as you can see from the form there is a fee associated with it. A letter of credit is issued by a financial institution as a guarantee to cover a potential liability, and in this case was obtained by real estate developers in Chicago for properties located in the United States.”… [ABC News]

Jarrett is part of the most secretive administration that we’ve seen since Richard Nixon. The only reason to have these accounts is to shelter your taxes/

Americans need to ask themselves: why does an American advisor to the president need a Bermuda bank account and a line of credit and secretive investments?  I call on her to release her tax returns. It’s disturbing.

Obviously, I am repeating statements made against Mitt Romney by the Obama campaign bots. Paybacks are a B!$@h.

…Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, called on Mitt Romney to release more than one year of tax returns, following a report that detailed the presumptive GOP nominee’s use of offshore accounts.

Wasserman Schultz called that report, published in Vanity Fair, “disturbing.” According to the magazine, Romney’s financial advisers formed a corporation in Bermuda, and the article also detailed the former Massachusetts governor’s holdings in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.

“Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account, and secretive investments like that?” Wasserman Schultz asked on Fox News Sunday.”…

It wasn’t just Wasserman-Schult.  Gibbs and Axelrod said almost the exact same things against Romney for his investments as they hit the Sunday cable news shows.

Quote of the Week

"It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few and for the few, time to reject the idea of an "on your own" society and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity. I prefer a "we're all in it together" society.

Now, there is no greater force for economic growth than free markets, but markets work best with rules that promote our values, protect our workers and give all people a chance to succeed. (We) ....can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."
