The Romneys with Lech Walesa, Poland’s Legendary Hero
Lech Walesa, the world’s greatest labor party leader, believes that Poland will be safer with Mitt Romney as President.
He gave a strong endorsement to Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate and expressed disappointment with President Barack Obama’s record.
Mr. Romney “talks about values” and “I’m very happy about it,” Mr. Walesa said, while Mr. Obama failed to deliver on his promises of “reform.” Mr. Walesa had previously said, Mr. Obama “doesn’t suit me.”
The Nobel prize winner said, ”I wish you to be successful, because this success is needed to the United States, of course, but to Europe and the rest of the world, too.”
He further said that Mr. Romney had some work to do to win the presidency. Charisma is something Mr. Romney “doesn’t really yet have, but he’s very observant. He gets it fast and draws conclusions, which means he has all the traits of a good leader. But he still needs to do some rallying,” Mr. Walesa told news channel TVN24 after his meeting with Mr. Romney.
“He really intends to put the U.S. in the leadership position, he’s into problem-solving,” Walesa said, “so I have great hopes that his ideas, his experiences and his intentions will allow us to live in a safer, more prosperous world,” Mr. Walesa said.
Mr. Obama is popular in Poland with a 65% approval rating, lower than the 75% approval in the other EU nations. The EU nations are primarily socialist.
