Egyptian Protests Possibly Planned to Secure Release of Blind Sheikh

DHS was alerted to the attack on Cairo two days before according to a three-page intelligence report obtained by Fox News. A statement in the report by the “Sons of Egypt” called for burning down the U.S. Embassy in Cairo with everyone in it in order to secure the release of Blind Sheikh, Abdel-Rahman.

Egyptian President Morsi did nothing to stop the violent protests in the first few days which adds to the suspicion that these attacks were part of a planned effort.

There is now concern among some GOP lawmakers that this administration, which follows a policy of appeasement, will release the Sheikh in a misguided effort to quell the worldwide Islamic violence.
