Al Qaida Operative Attempts to Blow Up Federal Reserve

Update: A second man was arrested in the plot to bomb the federal reserve on October 19th and it can probably be found on the back pages of the NY Times and not-at-all in most other mainstream papers.

A Muslim man named Mohammad, actually his full name is Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, who hails from Bangladeshi, tried to blow up the Federal Reserve today. I wonder what his motives are? Is it some kind of kinetic action? Maybe it’s workplace violence?

He has connections to al-Qaida but since the war on terror is over because Osama is dead, it is hard to ascertain his goals here.

Another apparent target was President Obama which brings me to the chants around the various mid-East embassies – Obama, Obama, we are all Osama. I don’t know why I thought of that. The radical Islamic terrorists don’t exist so there has to be something else going on here.

Apparently he checked with his homeland to find out if a person entering our country with a VISA was allowed to wage Jihad here. He found someone who said it was okay. [court document]

Makes one wonder if it was more than an isolated event but of course it can’t be.

Reports by the FBI quoted Mohammad as saying he wanted to “destroy America.” He was determined that the best way to achieve that goal was to target the economy. He also referenced quotes from “our beloved Sheikh Osama bin Laden.”

I’m just glad Osama is dead and the war on terror is over.

This is about the 15th attempted attack in NYC since 9/11. If this were a consulate in Benghazi we would ignore it.

The man is named Mohammad, he wants to destroy America, he is connected to al-Qaida…yep, some kind of isolated domestic event of a kinetic nature.

Don’t worry though, our president is right on it from his fundraiser in Ohio and Hillary is listening in real time from Machu Picchu.

Quote of the Week

“Tornadoes form below a class of severe thunderstorms known as supercells. Supercells feature intense upward moving columns of air that rotate, as the wind near the surface is drawn into those columns it begins to rotate and forms the tornado vortex. The damage attributed to tornadoes is caused by the strong winds in the vortex and flying debris.

“Oklahoma sits within an area of the United States commonly referred to as ‘tornado alley’ – this area is amongst the most frequent locations of tornado occurrence in the world. At this time of year, the warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool and dry air from above the Rocky Mountains come together to make tornado alley the perfect environment to spawn supercells and tornadoes.

“Preliminary reports of damage from the Oklahoma tornado suggest it was of EF-4 intensity, which is the second highest intensity rating. EF-4 tornadoes have wind gusts between about 265 and 320 kilometres per hour.”
