Impeach Me? Go Ahead, Suckers

You Can’t Impeach Obama & Here’s Why.

After reading a steady stream of demands to impeach President Barack Obama, I’ve reached the point where something has to be said.  Something that has a hint of common sense associated with it.

It starts with a basic understanding of the impeachment process – something I learned in high school Civics class, but a class that’s no longer taught at any level of schooling.

The House of Representatives is where the impeachment process begins and the United States Senate is where it ends.  The House brings the charges (articles of impeachment) and the Senate is where the impeachment trial is held – overseen by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

After the trial is concluded, the members of the Senate vote in open session on each article of impeachment.  IT TAKES A 2/3 SUPER-MAJORITY VOTE to “convict” the person being impeached.

Democrats have an iron grip on the United States Senate by a 55 – 45 member advantage.  There isn’t one single chance in Hell that even ONE of those Democrat Senators would even consider voting to convict Barack Obama – and there’s a significant chance that a few RINO Republicans would vote against impeachment, as well!  (I suspect at least three of them would vote “no”).

Knowing this, why in the world would anyone ever even consider demanding an impeachment?  If you know the effort has absolutely NO chance of winning, it’s totally counterproductive to even think about it.  This is exactly the position the Democrats were in regarding the demanded impeachment of President George W. Bush – there was absolutely no chance of conviction, so it never happened.

Republicans.  Conservatives.  Obama opponents.  Forget it.  Obama will not be impeached.

Starting to wonder who truly runs this country, the government or the NRA! Those of the NRA are nothing but a bunch of adults acting like spoiled children who are about to have a toy taken away. Automatic and semi-automatic are not needed by individuals who are not in the armed forces or law enforcement. I personally am getting fed up with every time a president tries too implement a gun banned on such weapons the NRA starts with threats. You were not elected into office by the people of the USA, Obama was. Those running the NRA were put in charge by like minded (many times warped sense of their rights) individuals who think that they need to own such guns to feed their egos! In my opinion, the next thing the NRA is going to try once their attempt of impeachment fails is try to remove him in another way. The American people need to take the power away from the NRA and give it back to our president and congress.

Good grief! You have zero knowledge of guns. No one in this country can legally own an automatic. The majority of guns are semi-automatics, which requires you to pull the trigger for each shot as opposed to an automatic which only requires one pull of the trigger.

Eliminating semis, eliminates the Second Amendment, sports like hunting and target practice, and certainly self-defense. Oh, no, wait, I forgot, I could buy more scissors and count on them in case of a break-in by several armed men.

Which amendment would you like to give up next? The first, fourth, tenth? Because they are on the chopping block.

I target and skeet shoot and I must be able to defend myself. Last time I called the police, it took them 25 minutes to respond.

The NRA is nothing more than an advocacy group. The hype in the media demonizing them is just more of Obama’s propaganda machine and you have fallen victim to it.

You don’t know enough about the Bill or Rights or guns.

” No one in this country can legally own an automatic.”

Just to clarify; you CAN own a fully automatic weapon, but it requires an exhaustive application and background check along with a rather large sum of money as a licensing fee. Established gun collectors, museums, military historical societies, and I believe a Federal Firearms License is also part of the requirements.

The Piers Morgan show this week showed Mr. Morgan actually firing a legally owned, fully automatic machine gun.

Folks, what you see above – the comment from Teresa – is exactly what is totally wrong with this country.

And we wonder why the United States is going to Hell in a hand-basket?

Thank you for posting this, got a great laugh out of it…Wait?…She’s serious?…I’m not going to even try and respond in any sort of logical way with this tripe as it is readily apparent that the lack of intelligence on the poster would make it a futile effort…

You’d have to take such comments line-by-line and try to rearrange the warped thinking of a very uneducated person in order to properly address such diatribe. But it’s a perfect example of what we’re dealing with every single day.

You have your low information voter and this comment suggests an even lower level.

I don’t believe we can put a “level” on this voter….More along the lines of a no-information voter would be more appropriate..I tried to take the statement line by line, but my eyes began to hurt and I’m afraid they will start to bleed if I read any more..Plus side: Good for a laugh…Minus side: Allowed to vote and procreate..

IMPORTANT! To be able to proceed, you need to solve the following simple math (so we know that you are a human) :-)

Quote of the Week

“Tornadoes form below a class of severe thunderstorms known as supercells. Supercells feature intense upward moving columns of air that rotate, as the wind near the surface is drawn into those columns it begins to rotate and forms the tornado vortex. The damage attributed to tornadoes is caused by the strong winds in the vortex and flying debris.

“Oklahoma sits within an area of the United States commonly referred to as ‘tornado alley’ – this area is amongst the most frequent locations of tornado occurrence in the world. At this time of year, the warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool and dry air from above the Rocky Mountains come together to make tornado alley the perfect environment to spawn supercells and tornadoes.

“Preliminary reports of damage from the Oklahoma tornado suggest it was of EF-4 intensity, which is the second highest intensity rating. EF-4 tornadoes have wind gusts between about 265 and 320 kilometres per hour.”
