Thousands of cars damaged by Hurricane Sandy are being stored in a parking lot in Calverton, Long Island. Some are parked on the grass.
Unsurprisingly, the environmental extremists have the state DEC crawling up the backs of the owners of the property and the Texas firm responsible for the vehicles.
Why, you ask? Well, because the tiger salamander, a worthless creature, and harriers hang out in a nearby protected wetland. The environmentalists claim they breed in the grass. Who cares?
The company has leased the land and has no other place to store the cars.
This was an emergency and the DEC is making it more difficult instead of helping.
They’ve come from the government and they’re here to help.
