White House Thanks Mexico for Releasing Jon Hammar

I have been getting thank you notes from the White House for signing their petitions. The funniest was the thank you I received for signing the petition to put a gun-free zone around the White House personnel.

What I didn’t find humorous was the following petition.

The WH actually took credit for having US Consulate Officials escort Jon Hammar from the prison to the border after doing nothing to get him released.

The White House said nothing while this young man with PTSD was languishing in a prison for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

The White House “sincerely appreciates the efforts on the part of Mexican authorities to ensure that an appropriate resolution was made in accordance with Mexican law.” What!!! They are grateful to them for releasing an innocent man?!?!?

Weasel words!

They should have thanked Fox News for the release of Jon Hammar if they were being honest.

The Release of Jon Hammar
Thank you for participating in We the People and for your petition ”Help Bring Jon Hammar Home.
Below please see a statement from State Department Acting Deputy Spokesperson
Partick Ventrell on the release of Jon Hammar:

“We are happy to confirm that Jon Hammar has been released from prison in Matamoros, Mexico. Officials from the U.S. Consulate General in Matamoros met him at the prison and escorted him to the U.S. border, where he was reunited with members of his family. We sincerely appreciate the efforts on the part of Mexican authorities to ensure that an appropriate resolution was made in accordance with Mexican law, and that Mr. Hammar was free to spend the holidays with his loved ones.”

Tell us what you think about this response and We the People.

Quote of the Week

“Tornadoes form below a class of severe thunderstorms known as supercells. Supercells feature intense upward moving columns of air that rotate, as the wind near the surface is drawn into those columns it begins to rotate and forms the tornado vortex. The damage attributed to tornadoes is caused by the strong winds in the vortex and flying debris.

“Oklahoma sits within an area of the United States commonly referred to as ‘tornado alley’ – this area is amongst the most frequent locations of tornado occurrence in the world. At this time of year, the warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool and dry air from above the Rocky Mountains come together to make tornado alley the perfect environment to spawn supercells and tornadoes.

“Preliminary reports of damage from the Oklahoma tornado suggest it was of EF-4 intensity, which is the second highest intensity rating. EF-4 tornadoes have wind gusts between about 265 and 320 kilometres per hour.”
