Colorado House Passes Four Gun Control Bills

Despite strong opposition from Republicans and a few Democrats joining them as they fought the measures, four gun bills passed the House today.

  1. Magazines will be limited to 15 rounds and 8 for shotguns
  2. Background checks on all gun sales will be required
  3. Concealed firearms are banned at colleges and stadiums
  4. Gun purchasers must pay for their own background checks

The bill now goes to the Senate where Democrats have a smaller advantage than they do in the House.

VP Biden has been pushing Colorado Democrats to vote for the bills, emphasizing that they will set the path for the nation.
