In my lifetime, we have not needed a constitutional lawyer as much as we do now. Her articles are worth taking the time to read.

Obama began his recent address with the following statement:

Fifty-one years ago, John F. Kennedy declared to this Chamber that “the Constitution makes us not rivals for power but partners for progress…It is my task” he said, “to report the State of the Union— to improve it is the task of us all.”

Obama’s use of this statement is interesting in what it omits. Here is Kennedy’s original statement:

“Members of the Congress, the Constitution makes us not rivals for power but partners for progress. We are all the trustees for the American people, custodians of the American heritage. It is my task to report the State of the Union—to improve it is the task of us all.” JFK Jan 11, 1962

The word “trustees” describes a government hired by the people as agents of the people, subservient to the people. Obama strides as a colossus above the people and where he cannot find willing submission to his desires, he unilaterally enforces his will over the people. “Custodians” would suggest a duty to preserve our Constitutional heritage, not fundamentally transform the foundations of the Republic.

Obama thinks, as Chris Rock proclaimed that he is the “boss” of the people, our “dad of the country” and if Obama decides that we no longer need portions of our Constitution, we should bow to his will. Obama despises the Constitution and the limitations it places upon his monarchy and his statements are full of contradictions and deception. This statement, taken from his State of the Union, is a perfect example…Full story

I chuckle each time I read or hear someone compare Barack Obama to Abraham Lincoln. Some going so far as to suggest his likeness should be etched in stone on Mt. Rushmore.

I didn’t know Abe, but I’ve read a lot about him. I also was an adult during the JFK Presidency and, from everything I’ve experienced, Obama couldn’t hold a candle to John Fitzgerald Kennedy. When considering his political life only, Obama would be lucky to work in a Kennedy administration, and most certainly not as an attorney.

About the only honest comparison I could make would be the “rock star” persona that each used to gain the highest office in the land. Kennedy distinguished himself in the United States Senate. Obama voted “present”. Kennedy distinguished himself at a PT Boat Captain. Obama elected not to serve in the military.

President Kennedy was a leader; at the forefront of situations that could be deemed “critical”. Barack Obama leaves the critical work to underlings, electing to take campaign trips rather than man the helm during an international crisis.

I voted for JFK. I did not vote for BHO.

I’m truly ashamed of my country right now. I love America but the fact the public decided to reelect this executive whom have made it obvious they care nothing for this nation, the people in it or our system as a Constitutional Republic. Everything he says is a lie, everything.

Yes, everything, he lies about everything. I guess he believes lying justifies the end result – his socialist utopia

I can’t believe 52% of the people voted for him.

The media lies to the public every day and the public is not getting the information they need to make a reasoned choice. All they get day-in and day-out is lies, hate and divisiveness.

Divide and Conquer. Compare the periods of time of each administration. “Camelot” as compared to….what…Lost-a-Lot?

      No truer words.

The scholars are ranking Obama as one of the best presidents. I guess scholars like the divide and conquer approach.

People like you and I haven’t much use for the likes of their “scholars”! Labeling Comrade Obama as one of the best Presidents gives them no credibility.

Mr. Kennedy proved tax breaks work in allowing productive people to get the economy bouncing.

Yes,the scholars are mostly liberal. Even the alleged conservative ones are liberal. I don’t know why History attracts them, but it does.

Obama is fundamentally transforming us into a socialist utopia – I guess they think that’s a good thing.

      I liked JFK.

Maybe History attracts them because they want to rewrite it or change it. They have done a good job at changing much of our past so far.

Although I was only 10 years old when JFK was murdered, I remember it as if it happened last week. I too liked Mr. Kennedy! And to compare JFK with BHO is like comparing a Penthouse with a tent in my opinion!

I can not understand, to me it is as plain as the morning sun, why the average citizen can not see the arrogance in Comrade Obama’s actions, his increase in taxes when he said he would not raise our taxes, the way he has plunged us into an insurmountable debt and blames it on Bush (laughable!) I could go on but I’m preaching to the choir.

This is a testament I suppose to how blind we as a people have been the past several decades. These evil forces that are strangling our nation were at work even during the Kennedy administration, in fact before. People ridiculed and laughed at McCarthy for pointing this out, but no one is laughing anymore.

Aaron Burr tried to establish a monarchy. There was a big Progressive movement in the 1920′s or so, and they were beaten down. I hope the same can happen again. I worry about the indoctrination of the youth and the fact that many can’t find jobs – a recipe for disaster.

My younger family members are being or have been brainwashed in school. Thinking back, I was too but I ignored it or overcame it.

Being in NY is difficult, most people have bought into social justice and spreading the wealth. They see nothing wrong with socialism, in fact, they are proud of it and see it as a viable alternative.

    McCarthy had a point.

Quote of the Week

“Tornadoes form below a class of severe thunderstorms known as supercells. Supercells feature intense upward moving columns of air that rotate, as the wind near the surface is drawn into those columns it begins to rotate and forms the tornado vortex. The damage attributed to tornadoes is caused by the strong winds in the vortex and flying debris.

“Oklahoma sits within an area of the United States commonly referred to as ‘tornado alley’ – this area is amongst the most frequent locations of tornado occurrence in the world. At this time of year, the warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool and dry air from above the Rocky Mountains come together to make tornado alley the perfect environment to spawn supercells and tornadoes.

“Preliminary reports of damage from the Oklahoma tornado suggest it was of EF-4 intensity, which is the second highest intensity rating. EF-4 tornadoes have wind gusts between about 265 and 320 kilometres per hour.”
