Mexico Wants Us to Register Guns & Give Them the Registry

February 18, 2013

no way jose

You say what??? Mexico lawmakers voted to ask our US Senate to create and share a gun registry of all commercial firearms in border states to include California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas!

It’s not only problematic because of Fast & Furious, it’s problematic because their police and government are corrupt.

The timing of this is all very suspect since President Obama is trying to pass oppressive national gun laws to include gun registration. It’s very suspicious!

Mexico should worry about their drug cartels and the guns in their own country. We are talking about a country that kept an innocent former marine imprisoned for months under deplorable conditions over a shotgun he tried to register. I surely don’t think we can trust them with this information.

I don’t think we can trust our own government on this issue after Fast & Furious. Their are endless possibilities for how this information could be misused.

    I agree with RME KRNL,
just as soon as the narco-crooks in Mexico release information stating who has all the illegal guns from Fast & Furious that Obama and Eric Holder sent south.

You’re right – NO WAY, JOSE! Mexico has NO right whatsoever to ask for such a list, and our U.S. Senate should not even acknowledge such a request. And, it’s past time for Congress to once and for all close the total U.S.-Mexico border and prevent any further illegal migration of Mexicans into the U.S. Instead of using using costly and insufficiently manned Homeland Security agents to patrol the border, we should be utilizing our U.S. armed forces – Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines. Only our armed forces have all the equipment, training, and support infrastructure required to properly acconplish the task – by land, sea, or air.

What a friggin’ joke as Mexico is the only place on the continent more dangerous than Chicago!
How about asking Mexican legislators if the letters F.O. mean anything to them?

It’s so nice to get comments from sane people :)

I wish we would put our National Guard on the border and I think this idea is insulting and insane.

Remember when the President had Calderone come and speak about OUR trafficking of weapons? Maybe the president is behind this too.

    In any case, it’s lunacy.

Nothing surprises me anymore. With an illegal alien holding the highest office in our nation, you can expect any kind of bizarre and evil political alliance and conspiracy.

Sorry, our thought process is not in line with yours, especially along the lines of being racist, nor the vile remarks..We have no issue with immigration as long as there is oversight and upholding the law in accordance..You can have a viable argument without being, well, nasty.

I agree about patrolling the border with armed force, but it is illegal to use our federalized units to do this unless a declaration of war was declared against Mexico. Well, hell, why not? If you ask the Mexican government they will say that they have been at war against the US for some time; their plan known as “Reconquista”, the deliberate mass migration of Mexican citizens into the US for the purpose of retaking the southwestern US, which has been conceived, aided and abetted by the Mexican government, seems to me to be justification enough to ‘return the favor’. Not that there is anyone in the US federal government who has the cajones (pun intended) to do this. When Harry Truman was president he had all the illegal aliens rounded up and shipped back to Mexico. Saving jobs for servicemen returning from the war was the priority. Now we are at war with Mexico, no one in the US government who should know seems to know or care and we are losing our jobs and our country to illegal invaders with the blessing of the foreign tyrants who them them to conquer us with the blessing of our own domestic tyrants…Yakov Smirnov: “What a country!”

May I play “devil’s advocate” here? Advertising the fact that american citizens are well armed and angry might produce caution in some with ulterior motives in mind. The federal and state deficits indicate that government might not be able to fund adequate security at our borders, but armed citizens are motivated to protect themselves, families and property at their own expense. The constitutional rights to law and justice involved are only for american citizens and our “guests”. Of course a registry of mexican gun owners would be appropriate.

Wouldn’t that type of information exchange be considered treasonous?

There are some tricky – but highly critical – legal points to be considered, Andrew. It’s a great topic to research and your question is a good one.

I see, read and hear the term tossed around quite freely, but I doubt the people doing so have really investigated the points of law required.

It’s interesting that treason is the only law outlined in the Constitution. But even then, changes have been made – to and including sedition as a form of treason.

I realize this is speculation but we give a lot of money to Mexico and I think if Eric Holder made a phone call to them and suggested they ask us for a gun registry they would do it.

This insinuation is that Mexico’s problems stem from our guns. It seems to me I’ve heard that before around the time of Fast & Furious.

It’s hard for me to believe this is a serious request but in this climate, who knows.

Supply the Mex govt with a list of all US gun owners in our southern states?? You can’t dream this stuff up. The audacity and chutzpah that must exist in the egos of these mexican lawmakers is incredible. Maybe they would also like to be supplied with a listing of all our personel assets, bank accounts, credit cards, etc. Bottom line however: This is a clear indication of their (mex lawmakers) assessment of the actual intelligence of US lawmakers. They must believe they are dealing with a body of individuals with average equivalent IQ of about 55. Do not be surprised if bills are forthcoming in both houses proposing this very thing.

Quote of the Week

“Tornadoes form below a class of severe thunderstorms known as supercells. Supercells feature intense upward moving columns of air that rotate, as the wind near the surface is drawn into those columns it begins to rotate and forms the tornado vortex. The damage attributed to tornadoes is caused by the strong winds in the vortex and flying debris.

“Oklahoma sits within an area of the United States commonly referred to as ‘tornado alley’ – this area is amongst the most frequent locations of tornado occurrence in the world. At this time of year, the warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool and dry air from above the Rocky Mountains come together to make tornado alley the perfect environment to spawn supercells and tornadoes.

“Preliminary reports of damage from the Oklahoma tornado suggest it was of EF-4 intensity, which is the second highest intensity rating. EF-4 tornadoes have wind gusts between about 265 and 320 kilometres per hour.”
