7 Artful Lies Hillary Told During Her Benghazi Testimony

Hillary Clinton kept her composure throughout the testimony Thursday and she had extensive cover from the five Democratic members of the committee. Hillary deflects well and lies better. She takes responsibility without taking responsibility.

The GOP has not succeeded in bringing Hillary to account, in fact, when the media gets finished, she will come out looking good.

It’s distressing to see the Democrats spending the entire time protecting Hillary except for Rep. Duckworth who wanted to make sure processes were put in place to better protect our consulates in the future. It’s crazy that Hillary did not have a clue that the consulate should be better protected, that her “friend” Amb. Stevens pleaded for help, that she continues to lie about the video and pretend there is no contradiction, and finally it’s crazy that she might be our next president.

The Democrats attacked the GOP for dragging this hearing out for over three years but fail to mention that the information and even witnesses were kept from the committee. The committee received Amb. Stevens’ emails two days ago.

The government looks very corrupt and Hillary is the best liar out there.

1.HILLARY DIDN’T KNOW SIDNEY BLUMENTHAL DIDN’T WRITE THE EMAILS, DIDN’T KNOW THE SOURCE, DID KNOW THE SOURCE

Hillary Clinton didn’t know that Sidney Blumenthal didn’t write the emails he exchanged with her. That’s pretty amazing.

Trey Gowdy caught her in discrepancies but she cagily evaded responsibility. She said Blumenthal wasn’t the source of the information then she said she knew.

In addition, she repeatedly said she didn’t use Sidney Blumenthal as a source when it was quite apparent she did. She emailed with him prolifically.

2.THE LIBYAN WAR WAS HILLARY’S WAR BUT SHE DENIES IT NOW

Rep. Roskam painted Hillary Clinton as the architect of the failed Libyan War. Hillary put the blame on the president, the French, the Europeans, Saudi Arabia.

It was her war.

Clinton and other Western officials sold NATO’s intervention in Libya as a humanitarian effort to stop the imminent slaughter of civilians in Benghazi. “Imagine we were sitting here and Benghazi had been overrun, a city of 700,000 people, and tens of thousands of people had been slaughtered, hundreds of thousands had fled. … The cries would be, ‘Why did the United States not do anything?’” Clinton said in an interview in March of 2011.

Several reports have noted the pivotal role played by Clinton in convincing the president to support the intervention.

No solid intelligence existed to back up Clinton’s statements of the impending bloodbath in Benghazi. U.S. officials said that the Pentagon believed “Gadhafi was unlikely to risk world outrage by inflicting large civilian casualties as he cracked down on the rebels based in Benghazi,” according to the reports.

In August 2011, Secretary of State Clinton saw the Libyan “regime change” as a resounding validation of her foreign policy credentials, according to the emails released and described at the end of a New York Times article by Michael S. Schmidt.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton fancied the violent 2011 “regime change” in Libya such a triumph that her aides discussed labeling it the start of a “Clinton Doctrine,” according to recently released emails that urged her to claim credit when longtime Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was deposed. And Clinton did celebrate when Gaddafi was captured and murdered.

Hillary Clinton was downright sociopathic, gloating and cackling in an interview when told about Gadaffi’s death by mob: “We came, we saw, he died.”

She has now distanced herself from it.

People don’t seem to care that this administration dragged us into a failed war. She should be held responsible for the Libyan War though she boasted of it before, during and immediately after.

3. BLAMING CONGRESS FOR PROVIDING FUNDS WHEN TESTIMONY PROVED OTHERWISE

Hillary Clinton suggested that security at the US facilities in Libya might have been better if the US were willing to pay for it. Rep. Roby brought up that she found $20 million to pay for Libyan security but not for the US diplomats.

Charlene Lamb had also said it was NOT a funding issue.

Under Hillary Clinton, some consulates were defended by home country security instead of Marines. Hillary said it was because the inhabitants didn’t want us there. In fact, the consulates and embassies are US territory.

Given how dangerous the situation was and how untrustworthy a Libyan force could be, the idea was moronic. Marines had always guarded embassies and outposts and they definitely should have guarded this one.

Perhaps Hillary should have given up her security and been escorted by Libyan militia.

Rep. Westmoreland questioned Hillary about her description of 5 DS agents as “robust” security. Westmoreland made the point that the administration didn’t want the consulate to look like a military compound.

There was a lot of PC considerations involved in these decisions.

4. THE ARB

During the testimony, Trey Gowdy uncovered the fact that the ARB reporters, whom Hillary and Elijah Cummings continually referred to as having cleared her, never interviewed Hillary, never looked at her emails, and her top advisor was able to make changes to the report. The State Department Hillary was leading hand-picked the members of the ARB.

A bit of history here:

In 2013, The Independent Accountability Review Board wrote a scathing report about the systemic problems at State. They found the Department seriously lacking in their handling of the Benghazi affair and in general. Hillary was the head of State and suffered no repercussions. In fact, her approval rating soared to 70%.

While the Board found that the State Department, which Hillary ran and was responsible for, had egregious systemic problems, they wimped out on placing blame. Hillary masterfully turned it around and said she was “so unhappy” with some people refusing to accept the facts and “politicizing” everything about the case. She wanted to not look backward [at her failures] but to find out what went wrong and to correct any problems. People seem to have bought it.

Hillary said that her job is not to explain what happened but to make improvements, she said as she walked out of the hearing room in the House in 2013.

When she testified, Hillary repeatedly blamed a video for the Benghazi attack and then said she never did. She actually said she didn’t, even though we heard her blame the video when she accepted the coffins of the four murdered Americans at Andrews Air Force base. She told Ty Woods father that she was going to have the video producer arrested.

There were other reports saying much the same thing that the ARB said.

5. HILLARY WASN’T RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURITY

Hillary blamed everything on underlings while pretending she was taking responsibility. She was in charge and it was her business to know about the pleas for security – and there were 600 of them.

6. HILLARY SAID THE ATTACK WASN’T DUE TO A VIDEO AND THAT IT WAS

What Hillary said about the attack was very different from what she said in private. She blatantly lied, was caught lying but refused to admit it.

The night of the attack, Clinton called the prime minister of Libya, explaining that Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility. And in a call with Egyptian prime minister Hisham Kandil, Clinton deliberately rejected the video idea. “We know the attack had nothing to do with the film,” she says. “It was a planned attack, not a protest . . . Based on the information we saw today, we believe that the group that claimed responsibility for this was affiliated with al-Qaeda.”

There was also a discussion of two videos that night.

Amb. Stevens didn’t have here email address but Sidney Blumenthal did though she would have us believe he wasn’t her advisor.

7. HILLARY WAS TRANSPARENT ABOUT EMAILS

Hillary insisted she was fully transparent about her emails. Even the State Department doesn’t agree with that. Hillary deleted 30,000 emails. Her correspondence dropped dramatically in 2012 about Benghazi and two-and-a-half months from about the time of Benghazi to nearly Thanksgiving are missing.

She said most of her business was not done by email but that didn’t explain the missing emails or the greatly reduced emails in general during the time of Benghazi. She said she had people shuttling documents to her in suitcases and didn’t have a computer in her office. How strange!
