A one-time high-ranking political adviser to Al Gore tells ABC News that a group of friends and former aides are having a “soft conversation” about the possibility that Gore run for president in 2016.
The adviser cautions that there have been no formal or even informal moves by Gore himself -– but that the former vice president has not ruled out anything.
There might be worse people than Hillary Clinton who could run for president. Al Gore is probably one of those people.
One thing is for certain, he would have us taxed into oblivion if he became president. There is nothing he won’t tax.
Since the 1990s, when he published “Earth in the Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit,” Gore has blamed everything that happens on Earth on global warming. That would be the same global warming that has been almost non-existent for 18 years.
His predictions have not come true. Here is one of them.
He claimed polar bears are drowning because they have to swim farther to find ice. The fact is that polar bears have increased in numbers since the 1950s from 5,000 to about 25,000 today.
Despite having no evidence, he said global warming spawned Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
The snow on Mount Kilimanjaro is melting because of global warming, according to Gore, which he claims is due to man filling up the atmosphere with CO2. However, the snow has been melting for more than a hundred years, long before man drove around in SUVs and before jet travel.
Those are only a few of his failed predictions. If he became president we could expect to hear a lot more.
We leave you with this.
