Amy Schumer thinks her Netflix show’s abysmal ratings are the result of the alt-right trolling her and knocking the show. Schumer’s “The Leather Special” debuted last week and it’s being slammed.
“The alt right organized trolls attack everything I do,” she said in a lengthy Instagram post. “They organize to get my ratings down.”
Schumer, Chuck Schumer-the-hack’s niece, also blasted the journalists who report the “trolls” ratings. “I want to thank them,” she said of the trolls. “It reminds me what I’m saying is effective and bring more interest to my work and their obsession with me keeps me going.”

That’s not really true. Her show’s just really awful.
Schumer steals jokes and she indirectly addressed that too. “Call me a thief and I will continue to rise and fight and lead,” she stated. “I know who I am.”
The LA Times, not known for its alt-right sympathies critiqued: “‘The Leather Special’ not only relies on… explicit themes, but kicks it all up a notch so there’s more of it — with more frequency and extremities. And as it turns out, that’s not a good thing.”
Newsday said “it’s too much”, “it’s too carnal”.
If you can stand something thoroughly disgusting, listen to this clip. Warning — it’s X-rated. Pretty much impossible to find a clip that isn’t.
I can’t believe this masterpiece of comedy only has 1 star on Netflix. pic.twitter.com/QCBAUw1PRW
