Market Watch and other liberal outlets are singing the praises of socialism and claiming most Americans support the idea of socialism. They say it in part to convince us it is true. There is one poll that claims opinions are swinging in that direction.
The Examiner reported on a new poll that says 43% of Democrats view socialism as favorably as capitalism. That would be your uninformed Democrats. I wonder how many prefer communism since socialism is the road to communism.
YouGov said Monday that:
YouGov’s latest research shows that when Americans are asked whether they have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of socialism and capitalism, capitalism comes out on top. 52% of Americans have a favorable view of capitalism, while only 26% have a favorable view of socialism. Among younger Americans, however, attitudes are a lot more divided. 36% of under-30s have a positive view of socialism, while 39% have a positive view of capitalism. Among over-65s, who came of age at the height of the Cold War, only 15% look upon socialism favorably while 59% have a like capitalism.
Democrats (43%) are also much more likely than either independents (22%) or Republicans (9%) to have a favorable view of socialism. Democrats, in fact, are as likely to have a favorable view of capitalism (43%) as socialism. While only 9% of Republicans see socialism in a positive light, 79% have a good view of capitalism.
It’s a bad sign when the young aren’t educated on what went on the last time we went down this road. If the United States chooses this path, it’s all over because the rest of the world is not free.
Vladimir Lenin said “The goal of socialism is communism.”
Ben Shapiro talked about the driving force of socialism in the following quote. “Socialism states that you owe me something simply because I exist. Capitalism, by contrast, results in a sort of reality-forced altruism: I may not want to help you, I may dislike you, but if I don’t give you a product or service you want, I will starve. Voluntary exchange is more moral than forced redistribution.”
At the present time, the Democratic Party stands for massive redistribution and entitlements.
This is the reason Hillary Clinton is moving to the far-left – she’s an opportunist who sees the writing on the wall. That’s why Bill de Blasio, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders are rising in power and hold great respect in the Democratic Party. That is why the media is touting their “populist” message. Far-leftism is now “populism.”
Democrats like to rail about the far-right but they don’t bother to mention the communists, socialists, black separatists, felons, illegal aliens, occupiers, environmental and social justice extremists who make up a very influential part of their base.
They also have the media.
The Baltimore Sun unabashedly posted an article that began:
Finally, conservatives have a real socialist to go crazy about. Instead of concocting dark fairytales about how Barack Obama, a very conventional liberal Democrat, is a secret Marxist who wants to destroy the American way of life, they can shriek about Bernie Sanders, the independent Vermont senator who has never shied away from the socialist label.
They then went on to post Bernie Sanders platform as if it were a good thing. And, unsurprisingly, it’s Barack Obama’s and Hillary Clinton’s platform also.
The truth always manages to come through.
The poll is only one poll but anyone reading the “news” by the mainstream can see they are corrupted and support this form of “populism” over individual liberty.
On the positive side of things, the poll is only a snapshot of 1,000 respondents and there are 71 million Democrats in the country. Perhaps the poll is wrong.
