“Enlightened social engineering is required to face situations that demand global action now… oisarents and the general public must be reached also, otherwise, children and youth enrolled in globally oriented programs may find themselves in conflict with values assumed in the home. And then the educational institution frequently comes under scrutiny and must pull back.” ~ Professor John Goodlad, Foreword in Schooling for A Global Age (1979)
It’s a Brave New World and Ban Ki-Moon hopes to lead us to it.
There is a powerful movement to grow big government in the United States and throughout the world with the U.N. as the vehicle through which all will flow. The U.N. is growing in power and is poised to become a world power in of themselves, affecting every facet of our lives, from climate change to education to lifestyles.
In May, Ban Ki-Moon declared education is a human right, not a privilege. He dismissed Western values of “negative rights” (our Bill of Rights) and called for global education.
In New York in September, the U.N. will prepare “to adopt a bold agenda for sustainable development” that will “mobilize countries to implement “The Declaration on Education 2030” and “propose ways for its financing.”
The United States is obviously being looked at as the main source of funding and a “generous” redistributionist like Barack Obama will be only too ready to oblige. Once we start giving to this behemoth, there will be no end. It also threatens to replace U.S. curricula insidiously.
They are calling for the implementation of a “common agenda” for education worldwide, one which supports their Socialist values with sustainability topping the list.
The global targets for the program are to eradicate poverty, promote the sustainability agenda, develop a Marxist classless society in which future generations of the world are “without distinction of any kind such as age, sex, disability, culture, race, ethnicity, origin, migratory status, religion, economic or other status”. It also reaffirms Agenda 21 which calls for indirect control of local governments by the U.N.
According to the U.N. website, Agenda 21 is a “comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations system, governments and major groups, in every area in which human impacts on the environment.”
To them, every sector impacts the environment, a concept Barack Obama obviously believes as he continues to spend inordinate amounts of money in every single government agency on climate change.
Democrat Rosa Koire is a self-described civil Libertarian who explains Agenda 21 in the video below.
At the end of this, we won’t simply be American citizens, we will be global collectivist citizens. No one is denying there aren’t good ideas included, but they use them to seize control.
The U.N. hopes to enforce it with suggestions made in the “comprehensive Framework for Action” which outlines the many ways of “implementing, coordinating, financing and monitoring post-2015 education agenda at global, regional and national levels.”
It will be implemented in the same way climate change and Agenda 21 are being implemented – with “sustainable” programs at every level of government.
The global education movement was inspired by U.N. official Robert Mueller, now deceased, an occultist who followed the teachings of theosophist and Lucifer Publishing Company founder Alice Bailey, and who developed a bizarre World Core Curriculum. He was known as the U.N. philosopher and was employed by the U.N. for forty years.
In Brave New Schools by Berit Kjos, she warned of the global curriculum that seeks to change our cultures.
As one example, she pointed to a lawsuit against three Lake County school board members led by a local teachers’ union that attempted, as early as 1994, to overturn a requirement that would “indoctrinate” students with the intolerable old-paradigm notion that America is best. Such ethnocentric teaching, it argued, emphasizes one culture over another. Therefore it breaks a state law that requires multicultural education.
Multicultural education doesn’t simply help students understand other cultures and people. It trains students to view the world and its people from a global and pantheistic perspective rather than from a national and Judeo-Christian perspective.
It is to prepare students for life in the 21st century “global village,” the envisioned worldwide community of people joined together through high-tech superhighways and a common set of values.
Globalists, Third World dictators and social justice groups are stepping up demands for a U.N. taxing authority to support their sustainability schemes and re-education of the masses, and to incinerate individualism and replace it with worldwide collectivism.
It is a global taxing authority that Joe Biden and Pope Francis have called for.
The coalition to create the proposed U.N. tax regime includes more than 130 national governments and dictatorships involved in the G77, which recently demanded a “New World Order to Live Well.” Joining them in these efforts were groups supported by EU taxpayers and billionaires like Bill Gates and Foundations like the Ford Foundation.
The U.N. managed to create “Tax Inspectors Without Borders,” which too many saw as insufficient to further their schemes for grabbing the loot from the West.
The United Nations wants its member states, mostly comprised of dictatorships and repressive regimes, to clamp down hard on private schools according to a resolution made public this past Wednesday.
The dictator-ruled, pseudo U.N. Human Rights Council passed a “landmark resolution” urging States to monitor and regulate private education providers. They want governments worldwide to “monitor”, “regulate” and impose “standards” on private schools.
They would take away freedom under the guise of protecting “human rights”. As socialists and communists, they are very concerned about and are responding “for the first time” to the “growing phenomenon of the privatization and commercialization of education”, according to their website.
The resolution claims it is protecting education from commercialization but it’s truly protecting a government-run monopoly. If they monitor and tax private schools, it will eliminate them as competition and what they see as a threat.
We can see the pressure the administration has put on private schools and home schoolers who fight for their rights periodically.
It’s hard not to mention the case of the German home schooling Romeike family who lost their lawsuits and appeals to gain asylum in the U.S. because they would be arrested in Germany for home schooling their children.
Eric Holder allowed them to stay but not until the cases were won and their view that home schooling is not a fundamental freedom was enshrined in law.
Eric Holder said, “There is no fundamental liberty to homeschool.” He added that as long as a government bans homeschooling broadly and equally, there is no violation of rights.
This is a view which gives a nod to the principle of equal protection but which completely ignores the concept of fundamental, individual liberties.
Many U.N. members follow Karl Marx’s script and already ban any form of non-government-run education.
According to the U.N’s. World Education Forum 2015 website, “Global Citizenship Education (GCED), development of skills, values, and attitudes necessary to face the regional and global challenges, will be included as a method of achieving the quality education post-2015.”
“The global education agenda will work within the overall international development framework rather than alongside it.” In other words, the U.N. agenda will be the World Global Curriculum which will train Global Citizens throughout the world, and, they hope, it will include the West.
They are clearly promoting a collectivist, socialist and global education. The 47 member States who make up this so-called Human Rights Council include the world’s worst offender of human rights, such as Cuba, Bangladesh, China, El Salvador, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russian Federation, Venezuela. The Western nations are members, including the U.S.
The U.N. “human rights” are diametrically opposed to the unalienable God-given rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and they are being taught in our schools today, sometimes innocuously as a source of information but not always. Some teach them as a reasonable alternative to our Bill of Rights.
Under the U.N.’s version of human rights, “rights” come not from God or from our inherent rights, but from governments, treaties, and international organizations. They can also be restricted or abolished by government at will under virtually any pretext.
Ban-Ki-Moon has weighed in on decisions made in this country, decrying our gun rights and demanding jail for parents who use physical punishment. They batter the U.K. for not having enough welfare and they are no friend to freedom of religion.
The U.N. hopes to predominate by educating our children using their Socialist Common Core Curricula for the World.
