Sean Hannity senses there is an unknown something about Barack Hussein Obama that has yet to be revealed. Many would agree.
Hannity brought his concerns to Mark Steyn during his show Wednesday evening.
There were so many concerns.
Barack Obama criticized Christians at the most recent prayer breakfast and he has done it time-and-time again but when it comes to the Muslim religion, he is very protective – he’s their defender.
At the prayer breakfast, Barack Obama criticized Christians for their ‘less-than-loving’ statements. Hannity said this is a man who spent twenty years in Rev. Wright’s church yet Rev. Wright has been known for ‘less-than-loving’ statements.
Steyn said it’s part of a conscious strategy.
He’s no expert on Christianity, Steyn said He knows Islam better. Obama is ignoring the murder of 148 Christians in Nigeria and the destruction of ancient Christian towns. The last Christian church is Iraq has been extinguished on his watch, on America’s watch. That’s a disgrace.
Obama sees Christianity as tied to white imperialism but Islam as exotic victims, Steyn believes.
Steyn sees Obama as “a social justice warrior” and not a Christian in any sense. Like a lot on the cultural left, he sees religion as “an opiate of the rood” (transforming a term from Marx).
In Obama’s case, it’s compounded by the fact that he has a profound respect for Islam that allows him to invert the truth so the victims become the aggressors.
Hannity played a clip of former Vice President Cheney’s comments on the Hugh Hewitt show this week: “If you had somebody as president who wanted to take America down, who wanted to fundamentally weaken our position in the world…turn our back on our allies, encourage our adversaries, it would look exactly like what Barack Obama is doing. I think his actions are constituted in my mind as those of the worst president we’ve ever had.”
Steyn asked a few weeks ago the “if Obama were working for the other side, what would he do differently”?
Last night, he listed some of Obama’s inexplicable foreign policy disasters.
“We’ve just turned Iran into a threshold nuclear state, Iran controls four Middle Eastern capitols, it controls Adan, a critical seaport, we’ve hollowed out and turned into failed states Libya and Yemen, America is at best a bystander in the world and at worst, clogging with some of the worst colluding with some of the most dangerous and brutal violent forces on the planet. As I said, if he were working for the other side, what would he be doing differently?”
Hannity feels there are still unanswered questions.
“I’ve now come to the conclusion, having studied him way back now going back to since 2007. There’s an unknown something with Obama, an untold story, I don’t know what it is. People are going to say, they’re going to assume they know I’m thinking. I don’t know the answer but everything is upside down in the world of Obama. None of it makes a lot of sense to me. It seems extraordinarily dangerous both on foreign policy and even on the economy, doubling the national debt, and all these people on food stamps and impoverished.”
Mark Steyn nodded in agreement.
While there are many experiences, connections, and thoughts Barack Obama has had that we don’t know about and might never know, most questions are answered if we see him as a self-absorbed, egotistical Marxist with great sympathy for Islam – a power-mad and driven man holding a grudge against America and embracing a frightening globalist vision.
He is not stupid and he is not lacking in knowledge. When he wants to respond or initiate, he does. Everything he does is deliberate and emanates from a woefully inadequate ideology.
If you’ve known committed Marxists, you might say that Barack Obama is not all that unique.
There’s another possibility – he could be a madman.
