CBS, one of our state-sponsored media outlets, is covering the Petraeus-Broadwell story as a sordid love affair which they allege explains all we need to know about the Benghazi situation. They do not seem to want to touch the role of the administration in Benghazi.
The fact is that the FBI said they found out about the affair accidentally in the spring and the investigation ended in June [Update: 11/13: DOJ Holder definitely knew by September].
The resignation after the election and before Petraeus’ testimony is suspect, especially given this timeframe.
Catherine Herridege reported today on America’s Newsroom that the CIA had intercepts on the 13th which clearly showed it was an al-Qaida attack. Yet, Petraeus came out on the 14th and referred to the attackers as a “flash mob.”
Other reports now say Broadwell is currently being investigated over how she obtained “classified” information.
Undoubtedly, it has something to do with the symposium at her alma mater in which she said that the annex might have been a secret prison. Information about three prisoners being held in the annex was in the public domain when the attack first occurred and that might be what she was referring to.
Broadwell also said that the general knew there were assets nearby which could have been used to rescue the people at the consulate and the annex. [Fox News]
Why didn’t the administration rescue them?
There might be more to the story.
The administration claimed the 9/11 attack was the result of the movie trailer [It was 9/11!! Did anyone believe this?]. They knew it was not. They claimed it was not pre-planned but they knew it was since they watched via live feed. One current U.S. intelligence officer working on the investigation into the incident told The Daily Beast that “the attackers had staked out and monitored the U.S. consulate in Benghazi before the attack, a move that suggests pre-planning.”
The mortars at the annex had to be set up in the daylight and agents spotted Ansara al-Shariah terrorists amassing three hours before. In our government’s delusional approach to foreign policy they believed they could play nice with the enemy and, once alerted, which is still an open question as to when they were alerted, they tried to rely on Libyan help.
Sean Smith had posted to the gaming forum that his own guards were photographing them and he didn’t know if they’d be alive in the morning. The February 17 Brigade, which the administration had employed to protect the consulate, was infiltrated with al-Qaida as we now know from an intercept in which a Libyan politician told a fighter to stand down and not protect the consulate.
Two reporters found a letter in the consulate ruins six weeks after the attack that confirmed this information. Our FBI stayed only about five hours because it was too dangerous, but apparently not too dangerous for Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith who had their security detail reduced.
The FBI obviously did not investigate in any meaningful way.
The letter is chilling:
“Finally, early this morning at 0643, September 11, 2012, one of our diligent guards made a troubling report. Near our main gate, a member of the police force was seen in the upper level of a building across from our compound. It is reported that this person was photographing the inside of the U.S. special mission and furthermore that this person was part of the police unit sent to protect the mission. The police car stationed where this event occurred was number 322.”
Sean Smith, State Department official (spy?), was playing an online video game when the mob began to coalesce in front of the consulate. He posted this harrowing message to the gaming forum a few hours before he was killed:
“Assuming we don’t die tonight. We saw one of our ‘police’ that guard the compound taking pictures.”
Susan Rice gave misinformation on all the Sunday news shows after the Tuesday attack when she said that Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were there to protect the consulate. They were hired by Blue Mountain Group for clandestine operations at the annex and, in fact, Eric Nordstrom and Lt. Col. Woods testified at the House hearings last month that consulate security was reduced though the Ambassador pleaded for more help.
Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer has sources who said President Obama personally watched the attacks in real time via video feeds from drones over the Benghazi consulate.
The story might take yet another turn. The rebel army is infiltrated with al-Qaida. We might be sending heavy weaponry and Jihadists to the rebels in Syria or, in the least, we are supplying funds to untrustworthy “allies” who in turn supply the weaponry.
The videos below keep showing up on the Internet and are not confirmed:
The US supported the Libyan rebels overthrow of Gaddafi which were and are primarily comprised of al-Qaida terrorists. The Telegraph UK quoted Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader from an interview with an Italian newspaper. Al-Hasidi said Jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi’s regime. That was in March 2011. This did not stop US support of the rebels. Read more here.
Benghazi, according to a West Point Counterterrorism report of 2007, was an al-Qaida base. It still is as we now know. This is the reason Gaddafi used when he said he wanted to invade Benghazi, which turned out to be our reason for interceding. We don’t even know if he would have invaded Benghazi. We (NATO) didn’t want those innocents to be slaughtered and we had to stop Gaddafi we were told.
All major news outlets have confirmed that al-Qaida terrorists from Libya have flooded into Syria to overthrow Assad. They have also confirmed that the Syrian rebels are largely made up of al-Qaida Jihadists. Read here and here.
Indications are that the US has been arming the Syrian opposition since 2006. Other Western allies and the Libyan government have been arming the Syrian rebels as well. The Washington Post among several other news sources has reported on it calling it “nonlethal opposition” because we are merely coordinating the transfer of weapons.
During the House hearings back in October it was revealed that the Benghazi mission was a base for cataloguing the proliferation of weapons looted from the Gaddafi arsenal. The far left online news sources, including the Soros outlets, attacked the Republicans for revealing a secret CIA base. If information had been properly shared with the Foreign Intelligence Committee, this would not have happened but the Obama administration is not even transparent with its own Senate committee.
The base and Christopher Stevens may have been linked to Syrian rebels or are at least aware of weapons moving from Libya to Jihadists in Syria via Turkey. This story was run by Business Insider on October 19th.
Stevens became the official US liaison to the al-Qaida-linked Libyans. He worked directly with Abdelhakim Belhadj and it was some of his fighters who took part in the 9/11 terror attack on the consulate.
The Telegraph reported that Belhadj, now acting head of the Tripoli Military Council, and with whom Stevens was working, met with the “Free Syrian Army leaders in Istanbul to arrange for the transfer of money and weapons to the al-Qaida rebels in Syria.”
The Times of London reported that a Libyan ship “carrying the largest consignment of weapons for Syria … has docked in Turkey.” The shipment reportedly weighed 400 tons and included SA-7 surface-to-air anti-craft missiles and rocket-propelled grenades.
The Telegraph reported that the Free Syrian Army commander complained that the extremists from Libya were infiltrating their group and they did not want the extremists there.
If Stevens brokered the deal that resulted in Jihadist fighters and tons of heavy weapons into Syria via Turkey, the US and Turkey would not want that revealed. Stevens met with the Turkish diplomat that day.
The CIA has been providing weapons to rebels in southern Turkey according to The New York Times. Did we also provide weapons from Libya to Syria? Would that be much of a stretch?
WND previously reported that the US consulate in Benghazi was mainly used as a base from which to ship fighters and arms to Syria.
Were these men in Benghazi expendable? They obviously didn’t believe they were on a suicide mission if they asked for help repeatedly and in particular on the night of the attack with one agent sounding “distraught.”
Did the administration fail to rescue the people in Benghazi because it would blow their cover? How would the American people feel about arming Jihadists in Syria if indeed we are?
If you will remember, one of Barack Obama’s and Hillary Clinton’s first foreign policy endeavors was to demand that the Hondurans keep Manuel Zelaya as their President despite the fact that he threw out the Honduran constitution in an effort to declare himself dictator.
In August 2009, the Wall Street Journal reported that “Ever since Manuel Zelaya was removed from the Honduran presidency by that country’s Supreme Court and Congress on June 28 for violations of the constitution, the Obama administration has insisted, without any legal basis, that the incident amounts to a “coup d’état” and must be reversed. President Obama has dealt harshly with Honduras, and Americans have been asked to trust their president’s proclamations.”
The report added that the “U.S. is trying to force Honduras to violate its own constitution and is also using its international political heft to try to interfere with the country’s independent judiciary. Hondurans are worried about what this pressure is doing to their country. Mr. Zelaya’s violent supporters are emboldened by the U.S. position. They deface some homes and shops with graffiti and throw stones and home-made bombs into others, and whenever the police try to stop them, they howl about their ‘human rights.'”
Don’t you ever wonder whose side Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are on? We ignored the real freedom fighters with the cell phones and laptops in Iran and Egypt for two years and unless we change our foreign policy, we will lose the entire region. Our delays give al-Qaida time to fill the gap.
The slow response to the Benghazi attack is typical of Obama’s delayed responses to everything. He belongs in a classroom, not the presidency. He’s an amateur.
If President Obama is indeed funding a clandestine war, the American people need to know about it because the end-result will be a Jihadist Syria.
