Bernie Appoints Marxist ‘Prophet’, Anti-Semite, and Other Leftists to the DNC Platform Commission

Cornel West with Carl Dix, founding member and representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party.

The DNC has caved into Bernie Sanders and has agreed to give him greater influence over the party platform. He’s far-left and he’s taking over one of two major parties in this country. His intentions were made clear when he picked his far-left platform. Bernie will present the most anti-Capitalist program in our history.

While DNC rules allow the chair to pick all 15 members of the national convention drafting committee, the organization struck a deal with the two campaigns so that Hillary Clinton will pick six members, Sanders will pick five, and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will appoint four, party officials confirmed, Politico reported.

Keeping that in mind, look at who Bernie is appointing: Arab-American Institute President James Zogby; Cornel West; Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison; Deborah Parker, an activist on Native American rights; and Bill McKibben, an activist on environmental issues.

They are all wacky leftists, but we will just deal with two of them for now.

Cornel West, who calls himself a ‘Prophet’, is off his proverbial rocker and hangs with the most radical of people. He is a Professor of Religion and African American Studies at Princeton University.

He told a crowd at the Million Muslim March the while Osama bin Laden “had something to do” with 9/11, he stressed the need to listen to the conspiracy theorists and keep an open mind.

At an early age, he proclaimed that he admired “the sincere black militancy of Malcolm X, the defiant rage of the Black Panther Party … and the livid black [liberation] theology of James Cone.”

West calls himself a “progressive socialist” and has written that “Marxist thought is an indispensable tradition for freedom fighters.” In the 1990s he was a supporter of the New Party.

According to West, the U.S. a “racist patriarchal” nation where “white supremacy” continues to define everyday life. “White America,” he writes, “has been historically weak-willed in ensuring racial justice and has continued to resist fully accepting the humanity of blacks.” This has resulted, he claims, in the creation of many “degraded and oppressed people [who are] hungry for identity, meaning, and self-worth.”

“In a time in which Communist regimes have been rightfully discredited and yet alternatives to neoliberal capitalist societies are unwisely dismissed, I defend the fundamental claim of Marxist theory: there must be countervailing forces that defend people’s needs against the brutality of profit driven capitalism,” West has said.

West sees Capitalism as the root of society’s evils.

“Free-market fundamentalism trivializes the concern for public interest. It puts fear and insecurity in the hearts of anxiety-ridden workers. It also makes money-driven, poll-obsessed elected officials deferential to corporate goals of profit — often at the cost of the common good,” he has said.

Praising the work of Cloward and Piven, ardent supporter of the Green Party, and lent his name to articles for The Revolutionary Communist Party as he demonized the Bush administration. West is a close personal friend to Louis Farrakhan, among the most influential anti-Semites in America.  He’s also friends with Al Sharpton.

Bernie has appointed Israel-hating advisors and appointed one of them, Jim Zogby, to the DNC Platform.

When The Revolutionary Communist Party marched against police with Quentin Tarantino, he was there. He is always there. He was there for Michael Brown. He’s always there with the most revolutionary groups.

Radical leftists like Cornel West and Tavis Smiley believe Reagan Democrats, who they think are the cause of their problems, are just ignorant in what Marx would call “false consciousness”, and they see their duty as informing ignorant whites on why they should vote left.

They believe that Reagan Democrats were excited by Reagan’s alleged anti-black rhetoric of law and order, a rhetoric that was in response against the activities of the Black Liberation Army, Weather Underground, Black Panthers, and Black Guerilla Family.

Marxists think a person is in a state of false consciousness if his/her political or social interests go another way than his/her material or financial interests. For those who adopt this view, the Reagan Democrats just need to be educated correctly about what they have in common with the black poor and working class. Their alleged hatred of black people is somehow “false” because it runs counter to their financial interests.

Other black thinkers say that Marxists ignore the “fact” that whites want to maintain their supremacy and anti-black racism.

These are Bernie’s choices and people should fear the road this country is going down and be circumspect about the kind of revolution he’s talking about as he drags the indoctrinated young along like a mad Pied Piper with ugly supporters who are violent and abusive, willing to do anything to shut down the opposition.
