Beyond Evil: Proof That Attorneys General Conspire to Criminalize Climate Science

For the skeptics out there who think Attorneys General would not conspire with extreme ‘environmentalist’ groups to shut down free speech, go through these latest linked documents obtained through a FOIA request by E & E Legal. This should be a concern for the left, right and straight-down-the-middle.

It would be very short-sighted to dismiss the Totalitarian approach being used by government because it’s agreeable to some. If free speech is gone for one group, it will be gone for all.

First they came for the Republicans…

In the past, under this administration, organizations and citizens have been forced to comply with the Obama agenda mostly under the threat of lawsuits, fines and the withholding of funds, but threats of imprisonment have been on the table. A Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal probe was ordered by United States Attorney General Eric Holder against the conservative groups targeted by the IRS but no liberal groups were investigated and the IRS was exonerated despite clear wrongdoing.

We now have 16 Attorneys General and Al Gore planning to prosecute climate deniers, and they have launched an investigation into an oil company, a gas company and a think tank. Their targets should tell us all we need to know about their intentions.

AG Schneiderman
AG Schneiderman

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and 15 other AGs and Al Gore told assembled press on March 29th that “The bottom line is simple: Climate change is real” and if companies are committing fraud by “lying” about the dangers of climate change, they will “pursue them to the fullest extent of the law.

E & E Legal has now found evidence that “the offices of New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D), and other politically-aligned AGs, secretly teamed up with anti-fossil fuel activists in their investigations against groups whose political speech challenged the global warming policy agenda, according to e-mails obtained by the Energy & Environment Legal Institute (E&E Legal).”

This comes on top of a Wall Street Journal report about a secret meeting between top officials of GreenPeace, the Working Families Party and the Rockefeller Family Fund on January 8th at the Rockefeller Family Fund in Manhattan. They are all people of the far-left.

The meeting coincided with climate change groups pushing for a federal criminal probe of ExxonMobil’s environmental impact, similar to the 1990s racketeering case against Big Tobacco. New York’s Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is already investigating Exxon Mobil and Loretta Lynch has told Senator Sheldon Whitehouse that she was looking into pursuing RICO-style crackdowns on climate change deniers as he has insisted.

A copy of the meeting’s agenda, has just been obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, which proves the coalition’s goals are to “delegitimize [ExxonMobil] as a political actor,” “force officials to disassociate themselves from Exxon,” and “drive divestment from Exxon.”

They also proposed “creating scandal” by using lawsuits and state prosecutors to obtain their internal documents as part of a fishing expedition.

We now have emails proving that the press conference was part of a conspiracy which they kept from the public.

The emails show that the press conference by the 16 Attorneys General was a publicity stunt in which their collusion with extremist groups was deliberately hidden from the public.

Schneiderman’s top environmental lawyer encouraged one green group lawyer who briefed the AGs before their press conference with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore to not tell the press about the coordination.

David Schnare, E&E Legal’s General Counsel, noted, “These emails show Schneiderman’s office suggested their outside-activist green allies deceive the press; meanwhile, AGs in his coalition have subpoenaed at least one policy group’s correspondence with the media. We call on these AGs to immediately halt their investigation and lay out for the public the full extent of this collusion, producing all records or information provided them in briefings or other work with the outside activists, including those they are trying to keep secret through a Common Interest Agreement.”

The emails show communication and coordination between:

  • Lem Srolovic, chief of the New York Attorney General’s Environmental Protection Bureau
  • Scot Kline, a Vermont assistant attorney general
  • Matt Pawa, an environmental lawyer who works with the Climate Accountability Institute and the Global Warming Legal Action Project of the Civil Society Institute
  • Peter Frumhoff, director of science and policy for the Union of Concerned Scientists

Pawa and Frumhoff have been pushing for this investigation for years, at least since a 2012 workshop titled “Establishing Accountability for Climate Change Denial,” a brainstorming session in California for activists on convincing attorneys general to investigate “deniers” through the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), E & E Legal reports.

There is also a strong financial motive which should surprise no one.

None of these AGs would take a murder case based on this evidence they pretend they have.

The think tank being investigated by the Thought Police, Competitive Enterprise Institute, is  being represented in this matter by attorneys Andrew M. Grossman and David B. Rivkin, Jr., who recently founded the Free Speech in Science Project to defend First Amendment rights against government abuses.

After organizations, the government will go after citizens if they need to.

There is a growing army of climate alarmists who are demanding that climate deniers go to jail. Politicians, fossil fuel companies and politicians are the first targets.

In September, 2014, leftist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a friend to the late Hugo Chavez, said he would like to see a law that lets authorities punish skeptics and deniers – those who engage in “selling out the public trust,” he said, in an interview with Climate Depot during New York City’s Communist People’s Climate March.

“I wish there were a law you could punish them with,” he said, in the videotaped interview. “I don’t think there is a law that you can punish these politicians under … [and skeptical politicians are] selling out the public trust.”

Senator Whitehouse wants prison as does Bill Nye, the science guy, who isn’t a science guy but is rather a mechanical engineer.

In March, Adam Weinstein of The Gawker wrote “Man-made climate change happens. Man-made climate change kills a lot of people. It’s going to kill a lot more. We have laws on the books to punish anyone whose lies contribute to people’s deaths. It’s time to punish the climate-change liars.”

Lawrence Torcello, who has a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo, explains that there are times when criminal negligence and “science misinformation” must be linked. The threat of climate change, he says, is one of those times.

Torcello would like to make all of that a criminal activity based simply on his belief that the alarmist argument is the accurate argument. He’d jail the heretics and deny the public the opposing argument, HotAir reported.

NASA is on social media pursuing climate skeptics and, to be fair, people who post erroneous information. They do not, however, report on their own erroneous information such as their false claim that we have 100 years of accurate earth temperatures.

The Climate March of 2014 was mentioned in this video below in which Bill Nye makes it clear he wants prison for climate deniers. That march in New York City was run by communists and socialists.

Get ready, Earth Day is upon us – it’s April 22nd. It’s the biggest propaganda day for the left. Goebbels would be proud of these people.
