Ben Bernanke wants to gather info from the Internet to find out what all of us are saying, so he can “handle crisis situations,” “continuously monitor conversations,” and “identify and reach out to key bloggers and influencers.”
Bernanke, in other words, is soliciting
spies key bloggers to gather info from all the social media sites and media outlets.
In all honesty, there are threats to the Federal Reserve so security might be the issue. One only has to look at the loons on Wall Street, who claim they are going to take out the NYSE on the 10th, to know that the Feds have to maintain a high level of security.
However, our mainstream media is biased left, and our government is monitoring us with attackwatch.com and chips in our phones. It’s easy to imagine a scenario in which Bernanke will try to control our free speech.
As if that isn’t enough, Bernanke is asking developers to come up with a “Social listening Platform” to monitor Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums, YouTube, and everything else on the Internet. Is he kidding with the whole social listening platform? That is so Big Brother, even the most naive of us should cringe.
The Feds want the developers to plan it in real-time and with a “sentiment analysis.”
