Boehner Admits He Scammed the Public

John Boehner

Speaker John Boehner told moderator John Dickerson on Face the Nation Sunday that some members of the House were “absolutely…unrealistic.”  He has been hanging around the Pope too much this week because he then called them “false prophets.”

“The Bible says beware of false prophets. And there are people out there spreading noise about how much can get done,” Boehner said.

This is a betrayal of the members of the House he claims he wants to unite with the rest of the GOP.

He scammed the voters by running on a platform and making promises he had no intention of following through on.

We don’t need this type of leader in the top echelon of the Republican party.

Boehner admitted he wanted to leave last year but he couldn’t because Cantor, the next in line, lost his election. Cantor lost because he betrayed his constituents. The Conservatives don’t want to do that.

Boehner said his GOP colleagues in 2013 thought they would be able to get rid of Obamacare through the process of funding the government – a tactic which ultimately led to the 16-day government shutdown that fall.

“This plan never had a chance. But over the course of the August recess in 2013 and the course of September, a lot of my Republican colleagues who knew it was a fool’s errand, they were getting a lot of pressure at home to do this. And so we got groups here in town, members, the House and Senate here in town who whipped people into a frenzy believing they could accomplish things that they know, they know are never going to happen,” he said.

Asked whether those “false prophets” include Ted Cruz, Boehner said,”You can pick a lot of names out, I’ll let you chose them”. But then he referred him to comments he made at an August fundraiser, where he reportedly called Cruz a “jackass.”

Why did Speaker Boehner take those votes for the repeal of Obamacare then if it was never going to happen? Why did Boehner and his minions run on repealing Obamacare?

He basically just admitted that he scammed us, not that we didn’t know.

It’s not about people expecting the House could control the lawless president, it’s about the false promises. If there is a false prophet, it’s Boehner who is still damaging the House by taking a last swipe at some of his colleagues. Those are the same colleagues he continually bullied into submission, even on insignificant votes.

He was a Speaker who stayed too long, not that he didn’t have accomplishments. He accomplished a lot more than Hillary. It’s his bullying, his disloyalty and his lies.

He betrayed the members to Nancy Pelosi by working covertly with her and the Democrats on bills and he is betraying them now. He knows his words will fuel the leftist frenzy against Conservatives. Bernie Sanders just warned that GOP crazies are going to get worse without Boehner.

He also knows the crazy liberal Republicans like Peter King will not let Conservatives rest and will turn into pit bulls against them.

Boehner doesn’t care that he just caused what might be irreparable harm to his own party. He could cost the Republicans elections. This is the man who claims sanctimoniously that he is leaving to save his party.

The “crazies” are the lawless president and his lackies. The “crazies” are Podesta, Hillary and Soros. This is what Boehner never understood.

He could have left a message of unity but he chose to divide.

Boehner is leaving as he lived – as one who betrayed the trust, He is one of the reasons we have Donald Trump.

  1. This is the very reason the Republican Party is in the shape it is in now, because of the betrayal of the people that voted for them in the 2013 election. This is the reason I have not sent any funding to help or have I even sent my dues to be registered as a Republican because of this very thing. Unless the party gets to doing the things that people voted them into office wanted done, they will never win the 2016 election unless they change their position and listen to to the voice of the people that voted them into office

    • The American party is going to rise upsoon. People are getting tired of games. both parties is a joke including liberal, and tea party.

  2. Nobody with any sense expected the Republicans to be able to do anything about Nazicare. Even with a supermajority, the chances are slim to none they’ll repeal it. As warned, once it took full effect it would become the newest political third rail – no politician will touch it with a ten foot pole. The only way to get rid of it now is with force.

  3. I truly hate this man-I think of him in the same class as Hitler.I would enjoy watching him suffer from something like cancer for two or three years. He conducted business as Speaker as though he were an organised crime boss. One good thing- he made enough of us angry enough at his kind that we are going to change it for good
