Damboa Villagers thrown into mourning after scores are murdered.

In the past six months, Boko Haram has slaughtered 2,053 innocent people in 95 attacks, a total of 14,000 have died in three years with thousands more injured and maimed. Boko Haram stands for “Western education is sinful” or “Non-Muslim education is forbidden.” Since 2011, 176 teachers had been killed and 900 schools destroyed.

The group has officially adopted the Arabic name “جماعة أهل السنة للدعوة والجهاد” (Jamā’at ahl as-sunnah li-d-da’wa wa-l-jihād), which can be translated as “the Congregation of the People of Tradition for Proselytism and Jihad” or “The Group of the People of Sunnah for Preaching and Struggle”. They are wedded to Al Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb and they are waging jihad against Christians and anyone who stands in their way, including other Muslims.

They are al Qaida and they are not on the run.

In the past few days, Boko Haram killed “many villagers” and burned down homes in the little Christian village of Damboa – almost every house is in flames. They are “piling up corpses” according to residents who can’t yet say how many have died.

Damboa is located strategically on the road to the state capital of Maiduguri, Borno State.

Security forces pulled out two weeks ago leaving the town defenseless. There are no soldiers or police to protect them, only vigilantes.

Boko Haram is killing anyone who might be part of a vigilante group tipping off police as to Boko Haram’s whereabouts.

Boko Haram hunted down residents in the small towns of Dille and Huyim on Monday and Tuesday, at one point burning down three churches, said Solomon Buba, chairman of a local vigilante group.

They murdered a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor in Dille village on Monday. His wife and three children are missing.

New York-based advocacy group Human Rights Watch said there has been “a dramatic increase” in casualties from bombs, with at least 432 people reported killed in 14 blasts so far this year.

Boko Haram wants an Islamic state under strict sharia law in Nigeria but half the citizens are Christians.

President Johnathan Goodluck has asked the Parliament to approve a $1 billion loan to upgrade the military. Military have complained that Boko Haram has superior firepower.

#Westerners should start noticing and do something besides engaging in superficial hashtag wars.

The unserious Michelle Obama and some top name celebrities, who usually don’t notice the terrorists, engaged in a vacuous hashtag campaign, #Bring Back Our Girls, when more than 200 Christian girls were kidnapped three months ago from a school in Chibok, NE Nigeria.

The leader of Boko Haram Abubaker Shekau mocked it in a video to the military: “‘Bring Back Our Girls.’ Ooooh! Bring back our army,” he says on the video, jeering at the Nigerian military.
