Hayat Boumeddiene, 26, is France’s most wanted woman. She is believed to have been involved in the murder of the policewoman two days ago and has since disappeared. She is presumed armed and extremely dangerous.

Boumeddiene had a bad childhood. Her mother died when she was young and her father was largely absent. She raised herself and did so rather badly.

She is the wife of Amedy Coulibaly, the hostage taker at the Paris Kosher market according to the AP. They married after he was released from prison in 2010.

The two recently met with Djamel Beghal, a convicted al-Qaeda terrorist under house arrest in France. They took these pictures at the time.

Coulibaly served a four-year sentence for his involvement in a plot to free Smain Ait Ali Belkacem, who was a member of the Algerian Armed Islamic Group. Belkacem was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the 1995 Paris metro bombing that injured 30.

During an interview at the time, Hayat told police that she quit her job as a cashier for Islam and that her husband radicalized her. Boumeddiene described America as the ultimate evil.

Police say that Boumeddiene made 500 phone calls in the past year to the wives of the Kouachi brothers, the two men suspected in the Charlie Hebdo attack.

Coulibaly said he took the Kosher deli because it was Jewish. These groups are virulently anti-Semitic. They hate anyone who is different.

Coulibaly and the Kouachi brothers were in contact during the terror attacks. The Kouachis were ripe targets for radicalization also, having been orphaned as boys.
