Tyranny in Cali

Legal gun owners will be penalized for wrongdoing by criminals in California if lawmakers have their way in what should prove to be a goldmine for insurance companies and lawyers.

California lawmakers are the first to consider a measure, AB231, mandating violence liability insurance for all gun owners.

California officials think that requiring gun insurance is no different than requiring insurance for cars and health.

The Associated Press reported that California would be the only state to have such a law.

California officials can likely pass any gun control law they want. If they decide to move ahead with this law, it will probably be met with little resistance.

It is a terrible precedent.  Similar bills have been introduced in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania. [Yahoo]

Eventually, there won’t be a thing the government doesn’t have control over.
