More than a dozen CIA spies have been rounded up in Iran and Lebanon. Not only is this tragic for the spies and their families, but the discovery of the two U.S. spy rings, which occurred separately, is a setback of enormous proportions in efforts to track the activities of the Iranian nuclear program and the intentions of Hezbollah against Israel.
The spies were paid informants and CIA agents. Hezbollah, the organization responsible for their discovery, is brutal and unforgiving, lending a further note of horror to this event. abc news
This leaves our CIA blinded. It is especially problematic since CIA techniques have been dismantled under this administration. For example, the CIA no longer interrogates suspects or captives.
