Pet Shelters: Helicopter Pet Owners Only Need Apply

If you’re thinking about adopting a pet this Christmas, you might want to reconsider and adopt a baby because it might be easier. The shelters are getting crazy-picky. DEFINITELY don’t say you are looking for a watch dog because they want YOU to watch your dog. They want you to be the watch person to…

Tim Bishop Is Not for the Birds

For those who haven’t heard, Rep. Tim Bishop (D-CD 1) allegedly secured permits for a constituent’s fireworks display at the same time his campaign workers and his fundraising daughter asked the constituent for a donation. Unfortunately, the location chosen for the display is protected because of the wildlife in the area. The Piping Plover is…

Dough Returns From South Korea

Dough the Obama Dog has returned from South Korea and was willing to talk briefly about his trip. He was unhappy that he was stuck in South Korea while Bo got Hawaii and Mexico. He said, “What’s that about?” Dough was ecstatic over the Russian caviar and the Russo-Baltique Vodka served by the South…

Dough the Obama Dog Interview Part 2

During the last interview, I asked Dough if he knew what Michelle Obama spent the $10 million dollars on during her vacations. The only thing I could get out of him was she bought a lot of souvenirs. She bought him the diamond that he wears in this photo. It once belonged to someone named…

Hi, Dough the Obama Dog Here, From Martha’s Vineyard

Martha’s Vineyard is not what it’s cracked up to be. Michelle is still feeding me those veggie burgers. As you can see from my gravity-challenge issue, I just lap up the leftovers when they’re not looking. My master took his teleprompter with him, but it’s only programmed to say, Good Morning, Good Afternoon, The situation is…

Dough the Obama Dog to Appear on al Jazeera

Dough here. I’ve been busy with the debt ceiling debate. I heard my master say he had a lot of voices in his head, but they all have good ideas about handling the debt. I am getting dressed for my appearance on the new cable TV show, Al Jazeera. I plan to talk about oil…

Inside Scoop on the Debt Talks

Hi, Dough the Obama Dog Here Did you hear about the debt talks today? I can hear my master yelling from the kitchen of the White House where Michelle and I hang out, and my master’s not even in the building. He’s out front slamming golf balls into a Boehner look alike cardboard cutout. Share…

Quote of the Week

“Tornadoes form below a class of severe thunderstorms known as supercells. Supercells feature intense upward moving columns of air that rotate, as the wind near the surface is drawn into those columns it begins to rotate and forms the tornado vortex. The damage attributed to tornadoes is caused by the strong winds in the vortex and flying debris.

“Oklahoma sits within an area of the United States commonly referred to as ‘tornado alley’ – this area is amongst the most frequent locations of tornado occurrence in the world. At this time of year, the warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool and dry air from above the Rocky Mountains come together to make tornado alley the perfect environment to spawn supercells and tornadoes.

“Preliminary reports of damage from the Oklahoma tornado suggest it was of EF-4 intensity, which is the second highest intensity rating. EF-4 tornadoes have wind gusts between about 265 and 320 kilometres per hour.”
