Johnson County, Kentucky school officials have censored an elementary school presentation of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” This was based on ONE – that’s ONE – complaint, according to Superintendent Tom Salyer, a religious man himself. He followed the advice of attorneys.

Schools were ordered to remove all religious references from their upcoming Christmas productions.

They won’t allow any depiction or any version of Charlie Brown Christmas.

Silent Night is one of the most beautiful songs ever written but it has been replaced by this thing:

Teachers at W.R. Castle Elementary School were directed to remove the moving scene where Linus shares the true meaning of Christmas by reading from the Gospel of Luke which lasts 51 seconds and which was the most offensive scene according to the district. It’s unclear why Silent Night had to go.

The passage is the heart of the story as it’s how Linus explains the meaning of Christmas.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill towards men.

When CBS news saw the final product with this passage originally, they were horrified but let it air on Thursday, December 9, 1965. It was a hit with 50% of the US TV’s tuned in. It won An Emmy and the Peabody award.

Christmas is a national holiday and historically it is an important part of our nation’s fiber. Should Charlie Brown be banned? What do you think?

Baptist preacher Tom Winston has been manning a picket line outside the local high school— hoping the Grinches inside will reverse their ban on Baby Jesus who is also a historical figure.

He doesn’t believe people should back down any longer.

The Alliance Defending Freedom, a law firm that tackles religious liberty issues, wrote the following on behalf of a parent whose daughter is in the play:

“There is no violation of the so-called ‘separation of church and state’ by allowing children to learn about theater and the origins of Christmas through participating in a stage version of this beloved program that contains the same religious elements as the television version,” ADF Senior Legal Counsel Jeremy Tedesco wrote.

“Moreover, students may learn about the religious origins of Christmas as part of school activities without offending the Constitution,” he added.

More christian cleansing.

Meanwhile in Virginia, students in a calligraphy class to write “There is no god but Allah.” That is the first words of the Shahada which is what one recites when converting to Islam.

A federal mandate is soon coming that will require or recommend schools not only do this – have a wear a hijab day –  to teach students about modesty, according to Virginia school authorities. SHTU Obama.

  1. This has gotten so incredibly stupid. I grew up in the late 60’s to 70’s. I am Jewish. I recall asking my Mother what all the lights were when I was about 8-years old. She explained, most of the country is Christian and that is how they celebrate… we’re Jewish and we celebrate this and that… No big deal… to each their own… Live and let live!

Oh, and “Merry Christmas” to all those who celebrate it!!

  2. Seriously! Ask your attorney’s what you need to do now since you have officially offended me as a Christian by taking Christ out of the Christmas play!!!!! Who’s opinion matters most? If that ONE person does not like it then they don’t need to attend! DO NOT bow down to their wishes!!!!!

    • But Bridget, you don’t understand. A little school in Kentucky putting on a play is exactly the same thing as the Congress of the United States making a law respecting the establishment of religion. Because a public school is exactly the same thing as the Congress of the United States and putting on a play is establishing a religion. Or something. Been that way since 1965, and you would be surprised how many “conservatives” accept that logic.
