If you want to know what the pro-amnesty, pro-open borders people have in store for citizens, you need look no further than Chicago for your answers.
Mayor Emanuel has opened up city-funded job opportunities to DREAMers and it appears they will get preference over citizens. They will certainly have help not afforded citizens.
In his announcement this week, Mayor Rahm Emanuel wrote “that the City is, for the first time, opening up nearly 23,000 City-funded internship, volunteer, and job opportunities for undocumented students, or ‘DREAMers.’”
“Chicago is a city that was built by immigrants and I am committed to ensuring that DREAMers have the same opportunities offered by the City to all of Chicago’s youth,” Mayor Emanuel proclaimed. “We will open our doors to support talented young people who are committed to their education, building their job skills, and bettering their communities.”
What about citizens? Isn’t it also built on taxpaying citizens? What about poor blacks who are citizens? Don’t we owe them much more than people who came here illegally?
There will be 500 city internships, volunteer, and job opportunities on a year-round basis, as well as over 22,000 summer jobs, internships and training programs.
In the announcement, Emanuel also promised to “eliminate administrative barriers to employment and internship” for DREAMers and said that he is ordering city staffers to help these students file for “deferred action documentation.”
Mayor Emanuel also announced that he is also going to “train” city authorities in how to aid illegal alien applicants with paperwork and in how to get them government assistance.
The Mayor said, “The City will begin training its staff to ensure they are well equipped to help immigrant students receive accurate and helpful information about opportunities available to them.”
If citizens want jobs, they would be best off lying and saying they are DREAMers. It doesn’t pay to be here legally.
Pro-amnesty congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) was quoted in the announcement: “DREAMers and DACA recipients are assets that we need to nurture and develop like precious natural resources for the benefit of the entire community,” said Congressman Luis V. Gutiérrez (IL-04). “They are an integral part of Chicago’s workforce of tomorrow
Since when are citizens not assets? Constant lauding of illegal immigrants at the expense of citizens and U.S. workers is nothing more than propaganda.
Gutierrez is an open borders advocate who was a member of the Marxist-Leninist Puerto Rican Socialist Party. Gutierrez often takes part in staged sit-ins and arrests on behalf of illegal immigrants, with the operative word being “staged”.
It is delusional to think that the borders will ever be closed or the invites for illegals to stay will ever stop under a liberal administration.
