China Won’t Be Endorsing Romney for President

China is weighing in on Romney’s alleged gaffes. Calling Jerusalem the capital of Israel is apparently considered a gaffe. I wouldn’t expect much else from China, but it’s a little concerning that our administration and our media agree with them.

Listen to Jay Carney refuse to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

China’s press agency said that Romney calling Jerusalem the capital of Israel “totally neglects historical facts” and could even “reignite” a war with Palestinians. They said that if Romney’s words were turned into action, it would be cause for international concern.

I’m sure a strong U.S. president would be alarming to tyrannical governments like China.

Does this mean China won’t endorse Romney for President? It seems they are throwing their support for Obama.

“U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s statement that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel is likely to worsen the already tense Mideast situation, and even reignite a war between Palestinians and Israelis,” the Xinhua news agency wrote in an editorial Tuesday.

“Romney’s remarks totally neglect historical facts and are actually irresponsible if he just meant to appeal to voters at home,” the agency continued, saying his “radical words were intended to win the support of U.S. Jewish voters.”

Romney said during his visit to Israel that Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and suggested he would move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem if he were president, which enraged Palestinianofficials.

The Obama administration and China agree. Fabulous!
