Leslie Moonvies with Hilary and Joe Califano

Page Six reports that New York hack Sen. Chuck Schumer began yelling in a swanky Manhattan restaurant – Sette Mezzo – at the wife of Joseph Califano because she voted for Donald Donald Trump.

Sette Mezzo is the kind of restaurant even Chuck can’t afford but a couple times a year.

Jospeh Califano Sr. is the former US secretary of health, education and welfare under President Jimmy Carter and domestic policy adviser to President Lyndon B. Johnson. His wife is Hilary Paley, the daughter of William Paley, the founder of CBS.

Hilary Paley and her husband are a well-respected couple and she is a Trump supporter. Schumer, his usual weasel self, started yelling the that Trump “is a liar”, though one diner claimed it was a civilized conversation. There were other witnesses who said he lost his cool.

Mrs. Califano confirmed the tirade to the NY Post. It was bad enough that when they left, he followed her out of the restaurant after creating a scene, Mrs. Califano said.

They were having a quiet dinner but Schumer was incensed that she voted for Trump. It figures, he has fascist-like tendencies. This was despite the fact that her husband is a well-known Democrat.

One witness said of the restaurant rant, “They are a highly respected couple, and Schumer made a scene, yelling, ‘She voted for Trump!’ The Califanos left the restaurant, but Schumer followed them outside.” On the sidewalk, Schumer carried on with his fantastical filibuster: “ ‘How could you vote for Trump? He’s a liar!’ He kept repeating, ‘He’s a liar!’ ”

Mrs. Califano said, “Sen. Schumer was really rude . . . He’s our senator, and I don’t really like him. Yes, I voted for Trump. Schumer joined us outside and he told me Trump was a liar. I should have told him that Hillary Clinton was a liar, but I was so surprised I didn’t say anything.”

Joseph didn’t return calls to the NY Post for comment.

Schumer’s spokesperson said, “[He] and his wife ate at the café on Sunday, engaging in unremarkable conversation with patrons who approached their table. There were no heated exchanges with ‎anyone.”

Schumer opening his mouth is a scene. He is one nasty, petty guy. As a New Yorker, I’ve run into him at events and the only thing he does is look over the people for the news crews and the photo-ops. He won’t look you straight in the eye, but if you tell him you need money for a black group or some other preferred special interest, he smiles, promises to send the taxpayer money and he does it.

That tears it! Sen. 17% Schumer (his approval rating) needs to either apologize or step down as minority leader in the Senate. At the very least his public berating and bullying of a lovely, well regarded woman simply because she voted for Trump, should be cause enough for him recuse himself from any and all legislation related to women’s issues.
