Did you hear that Nancy Sinatra was angry about about her father’s song, “My Way”, being played at the Inauguration? Did you hear it from CNN ? It was fake news.

Nancy Sinatra joked on twitter about her father’s song, “My Way”, being played as Donald Trump and his wife Melania dance the first dance at the Liberty Ball Friday.

As she said, it was a “harmless joke”.

Nancy originally tweeted a now-deleted tweet, “just remember the first line of the song.”

‘My Way’ opens with the line “And now the end is near”.

A fan had asked her how she felt about it being played and she returned with the joke about the first line. CNN blew it up into a story about her not wanting her father’s song played.

Sinatra asked CNN why they lied and also tweeted, “Oh, man! I’m not angry,” she tweeted. “What a rotten spin to put on a harmless joke.”

She also wrote, “I’m not sure why this became such a big deal. It was really just a joke.”

“Actually I’m wishing him the best. A good president helps the entire world. I don’t believe anyone tries to be a bad president.”

Nancy Sinatra isn’t a Trump fan, in fact, she’s part of the hard-left resistance, but she doesn’t care if they play her father’s song. She wishes him the best.

CNN deceived their readers, either out of stupidity or ill will. It’s possible they don’t understand jokes.

The article published by CNN originally entitled, “Nancy Sinatra not happy Trump using father’s song at inauguration,” is what the 76-year-old singer and actress responded to.

CNN has since “updated” their story to reflect her reaction. They will never admit they took a harmless joke and made it into something it wasn’t.

The tweets continue however. People still want to make her tweet into something other than a small joke.

Don’t mistake this reaction from Sinatra as reflective of a sudden affinity for Donald Trump. There’s none there. She is as far to the left as much of Hollywood.

It’s also possible she’s trying to have it both ways, but the fact remains that she never said anything about being angry her father’s song was being played.
