Common Core’s Dangerous Global Curricula

A parent in upstate NY notified the blaze that the U.N.’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights is now being taught for one hour a day in his child’s school district as an integral part of the Common Core. He said the principal is unhappy about it but has no choice but to implement it.

Don’t doubt that this is true. IS reported on this September 2011. Click this link to read the article.

The Speak Truth to Power curricula, which is based on the UN Declaration of Human Rights, is available on the New York State United Teachers website. It is aligned with the Common Core Standards and is in fact, integrated into them. Read it for yourself.

It is a leftist document promoted by the Kennedys. It starts out spouting tenets of social justice. It defines fairness and equality, not as our founding fathers did, but as the UN and President Obama define the terms.

The tips for teachers p. 10 refers to article 26 of the Declaration of human rights.

Article 26.

Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for Human Rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.

Sound good? It’s not. The reason this curricula is being rushed into classrooms without adequate time and preparation is because the people behind it don’t want parents to have time to react.

Download the complete curricula from the site and go to p.15 where it asks the question, what are human rights? It then lists the articles of the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

On p.19, the document refers to the US Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence as one of the important documents considered in the making of the Declaration but they see our Constitution as flawed:

Yet many of these documents, when originally translated into policy, excluded women, people of color, and members of certain social, religious, economic, and political groups (statists?).

Their rhetoric sounds like this:

Barack Obama has been saying this for decades:

On p. 20, Speak Truth to Power goes into international law. Barack Obama wants us to be subjected to international law over our own Constitution and Bill of Rights because they are flawed after all.

Do check out the lesson plans on the website. Go to Abubacar Sultan: Children’s Rights and check out the UN declaration and  the anti-war rhetoric.

Grades 9-12 incorporate police brutality as espoused by rioter and communist VanJones. It is hardly well-rounded. Read it for yourself.

The curricula isn’t all bad of course. The Dalai Lama and Elie Wiesel have sections. That makes it all the more deceptive.

It is ironic that we are getting our human rights lessons from the UN Human Rights Commission which is comprised of many member nations who are dictators and communist thugs. The best of them are socialists.

The UN human rights declaration makes everything imaginable a right, including salaries and vacations, which is also ironic since most of these nations don’t give people their basic rights.

The UN is Marxist but they are phonies. They are comprised of statist countries like Russia, China, Syria, Iran and so on. They could care less about rights. Their stated goals are to globalize economies and confiscate a percentage of  our resources.

The UN and its member nations are going to tell us about human rights? Cuba, Iran, Syria, China, Russia are to be our trustworthy guides in the learning process? Is that why the corrupt Kofi Annan lives in luxury? Remember the food for oil scandal?

The Occupiers espoused their Marxist doctrines during their recent tirades throughout the country. All our children will be occupiers if this curricula continues.

Bill Ayers said they would have to change the country through education. He was really referring to brainwashing and radical propaganda:
