Conservative Firebrand Wants Marco Rubio Disqualified

Phyllis Schlafly, a constitutional lawyer and conservative firebrand who founded the Eagle Forum, is one of the architects of the modern conservative movement and she is looked up to for leadership. She has some strong words for Marco Rubio.

She wants him disqualified from running for saying one thing about amnesty in English and something else in Spanish.

“If Jeb’s candidacy falters despite the $114 million he raised, the establishment’s next choices, Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have basically similar views,” she wrote in her Monday World Net Daily column.

Kasich said the 12 million illegals should be “legalized once we find out who they are,” and Rubio said Obama’s executive amnesty “can’t be terminated because there are already people benefiting from it.”

Rubio’s statement was made in Spanish on the Spanish-language network Univision, which is reason enough to eliminate him from serious consideration. When somebody is running for president of the United States, why should we have to get somebody to translate his remarks into English?

Breitbart reported this and reminded us that the despicable Luis Gutierrez mocked Kate Steinle’s death in Spanish on Telemundo, calling it a “little thing.” We all need to learn Spanish. We’ll probably need Pashto and Arabic soon too.

Schlafly says Trump’s “plainspoken truth” is refreshing and quoted his comment to Fox News.

“If it weren’t for me,” Donald Trump told the Fox News moderators at the first Republican presidential debate, “you wouldn’t even be talking about illegal immigration.” The record-breaking audience of 24 million, which is 10 times Fox’s usual nightly viewership, had to agree.

We all should be indebted to Donald Trump for bringing up the issues that we all care about but our representatives refused to discuss.

Like him or not, he told the truth despite PC, despite the threats and attacks and he is still standing because of it.

Schlafly doesn’t mention Cruz in this piece but it appears that Breitbart and Schlafly are all in on Trump.

Most conservatives are opposed to Trump including my hero Thomas Sowell. People should ignore endorsements, get informed and pick the person that conforms to their values as best they can.  My values tell me almost anyone but the leftist Democrats.

Marco Rubio has not been as clear in English as in Spanish. We could do worse and pick a low energy candidate.

We fact checked Marco Rubio’s statements because concerns over illegal immigrant Democrats aka undocumented citizens is the Sentinel’s number one concern next to Obamacare, the Second Amendment, the First Amendment, the entire Bill of Rights actually and the Constitution.

  1. Ms. Schlafly is right. Rubio is not worthy.

On a personal note, living in a sanctuary city, I am only too familiar with people saying one thing in English and another in their native language. We don’t need another eight years of double speak.

    • I’m so sick of it myself. I loved, loved, loved Rubio until he pushed ahead with the Gang of Eight – proudly – with his chief of staff calling the tea party names. More than that was the fact he didn’t tell the truth. I think all the people here illegally will get citizenship one day – its an unstoppable force.

  2. From Discover the Networks–“* Obama’s decision to allow this massive influx of illegal border-crossers was a strategy designed to flood the United States with young people whose grim circumstances would make them politically impossible to deport. In this way, the president could take yet another step in moving the political leanings of the U.S. population leftward by the sheer force of numbers. A statement released by the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers said: “This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor illegal alien children at risk for purely political purposes. Certainly, we are not gullible enough to believe that thousands of unaccompanied minor Central American children came to America without the encouragement, aid and assistance of the United States government.”

    * Along the same lines, Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-Texas) told radio host Steve Malzberg that Obama’s motivation for allowing illegals to swarm across the border was as follows: “In the end they have said they want to turn Texas blue, they want to turn America blue. And if you bring in hundreds of thousands or millions of people and give them the ability to vote, and tell them … ‘if you want to keep getting the benefits you have to go vote’ … that drives people to vote and it would ensure Republicans will never get elected again.”

  3. Kasich said the 12 million illegals should be “legalized once we find out who they are,”…………..

One of the stupidest statements ever made by anybody, anywhere, anytime. We have absolutely no idea who they are, might be El Chapo Guzman;s kissin’ cousins, but once we find out, we shoud legalize ’em. Good grief.
