Update: 14:12: State media report Egypt’s political road map to be announced by Sheikh of Al-Azhar, head of Coptic Church and opposition leader El Baradei. There are reports that Morsi is under house arrest.

The military came to their decision after meeting with members of the Tamarud youth protest movement and clerics – the Grand Sheikh of Cairo’s Al-Azhar institution, a leading authority in the Muslim world, and Pope Tawadros, the head of the Coptic Church and leader of Egypt’s millions of Christians.

The protests are much larger than those that swept Mubarek out of power.

Update: 12:34 EST: The Egyptian military is parading around the presidential palace. Tanks are on the move. A full military coup is underway. On June 15, Morsi referred to opponents as Infidels, causing himself great harm.

President Obama did nothing to support human rights violations by Morsi.

Update: 12:11 EST: Morsi has asked his supporters to resist the coup peacefully. Do not use violence.

Morsi and his top brotherhood leaders have been put under a travel ban by Egyptian authorities.

Reuters is reporting that Morsi’s National Security Advisor says a military coup is underway. Take it from the source however. There are conflicting reports.

The military is denying reports that there is a road map. They have to develop a plan with leaders from all sectors
