A Yale student screamed like a banshee at her professor for not providing a “safe place” for the students. The professor, Master of Silliman College, Nicholas Christakis is the husband of Erika Christakis. Wait until you hear why.

Yale University has been hit by controversy in the past week after professor Erika Christakis, associate headmaster of the school’s Silliman College, sent an email to the college’s members suggesting that they shouldn’t be overly sensitive about Halloween costumes that engage in “cultural appropriation.” Instead, Christakis encouraged students to tolerate them and avoid trying to censor expression.

“Is there no room anymore for a child or young person to be a little bit obnoxious … a little bit inappropriate or provocative or, yes, offensive?” Christakis wrote. “American universities were once a safe space not only for maturation but also for a certain regressive, or even transgressive, experience; increasingly, it seems, they have become places of censure and prohibition.”

The students are demanding that both professors be fired – that they lost their livelihood for expressing their free speech.

  1. They are the New Nazis and if the American people do not wise up, this will be the Fourth Reich and Hillary will be the new Hitler.

  2. I suppose it’s got to with me becoming a grumpy old man. I’ve seen this kind of behavior for many decades now. They are folks who have taught themselves to overreact.

Why? Because it gets them attention and many people will acquiesce to their tantrum just to shut them up.

I’ve become intolerant of such idiocy regarding those who acquiesce and those who have tantrums.

    • I taught in college for a while – hated it – students in each class were paying a lot towards tuition and several expected A’s for nothing. Their behavior was difficult to tolerate.

  3. Are these people specially trained? You see and hear the same small group kids in every single campus in the country, saying the exact same rhetoric and using the exact same tactics. And it often works, and free speech and tenure take a back seat to subjective claims hurt feelings. Did some discover the easiest, most effective way to bully the administration, and spread the message to everyone else?

  4. This is the direct result of parents not being allowed to spank the spoiled brat out of their little monsters. It hurt me to have to punish my kids, but my son and daughter are more adult than all of those spoiled cry babies combined could ever hope to be.

  5. My dad was #2 at Yale in the 60’s and I remember the protests…They suspended a bunch of students. Should happen now.
