Tim Bishop’s People Call Iraqi War Veteran Lee Zeldin a Coward

Update: Steve Israel’s and Tim Bishop’s people condemned the DCCC email which they had to know about. No way did that go out without approval from the upper levels. This is typical Tim Bishop. He doesn’t do these things directly, leaving him with plausible deniability if it goes south and this went south.

As is the usual with Tim Bishop and anyone connected to him, what is being said is the exact opposite of reality. A case in point is Mr. Bishop’s peeps calling his opponent, Lee Zeldin, a coward. The only problem of course is that Lee Zeldin is an Iraqi War Veteran – a paratrooper – who currently serves in the Reserves with the rank of Major. Mr. Bishop never served a day that wasn’t behind a desk as a bureaucrat.

I wonder how the Long Island veterans feel about Mr. Bishop showing this kind of disrespect for a war veteran.

Maj Lee Zeldin

In a news release calling Zeldin a coward and a corresponding tweet comparing him to the Cowardly Lion, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee scored Zeldin for not saying whether he would vote for the budget proposed by Wisconsin Republican Rep. Paul Ryan.

Rather than talk about something real, they concocted an imaginary issue around a Wisconsin representative’s budget that is sitting collecting dust at the moment because we no longer have budgets in this country.

They are doing this because they have nothing else.

The real issue is that Mr. Bishop strongly supported Obamacare and he strongly supports any budget-busting bill that comes out of Obamaland such as cap & trade.

Mr. Bishop can sound like a conservative when he talks to constituents in Rocky Point but his far-left beliefs are reflected in his voting record, which usually has the 100% approval rating or close to it of far-left groups such as the Working Families Party and ACORN groups.

When the Dems can’t think of a thing to say about State Senator Lee Zeldin except that he’s a coward, when he’s obviously the opposite, it’s time for them to roll up the carpet and go home.

Listen to Lee Zeldin respond to the absurd comments by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC):

Let’s talk about Tim Bishop’s extremism such as his support for the Occupiers of Wall Street or how about his Obamacare votes. How about the fact that he is funded by California liberals and movie stars like Gwenyth Paltrow who prefers England to the United States.

She once said,  “I love the English way, which is not as capitalistic as it is in America. People don’t talk about work and money; they talk about interesting things at dinner parties. I like living here because I don’t tap into the bad side of American psychology, which is ‘I’m not achieving enough, I’m not making enough, I’m not at the top of the pile.’ It’s just kind of like, I am.”

And this on living in Europe: “We have great dinner parties at which everyone sits around talking about politics, history, art and literature—all this peppered with really funny jokes. But back in America, I was at a party and a girl looked at me and said, ‘Oh, my God! Are those Juicy jeans that you’re wearing?’ and I thought, I can’t stay here. I have to get back to Europe. I love America too. It is just a more adolescent culture.”

Bishop has a lot of rich mega-stars who support him and who only live on Long Island for weeks or a couple months in the summer.

He supports every cap & trade style limitation on our freedoms that Mr. Obama can come up with. He oversaw the destruction of Southampton College and brought those skills to the congress – he’s clueless on how to save money. He only spends.

We need a change, I’m almost out of hope. Vote for Lee Zeldin, a man with ideas on how to put out a reasonable budget. After nearly a decade of Tim Bishop’s tax and spend approach, enough is enough. Yes we can!
