The DNC appears to be welcoming an open air Jumah [Islamic prayer & workshops] at their convention this year. It is unclear if the DNC failed to vet the organizers of the Jumah or if they are comfortable with them. The leaders are known radicals though they claim they are moderates.
My best guess is the DNC doesn’t care to admit, even to themselves, that the leaders are stealth radicals. The DNC has become subservient to all things collectivist.
The leaders of the DNC event are Jibril Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte, and Grand Imam Siraj Wahhaj of the al-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, NY.
Wahhaj has been named by the FBI as a potential unindicted co-conspirator in the ’93 WTC bombings [NY Post] and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Funding case. He has publicly stated that it is the duty of Muslims to replace the constitution with the Koran. They are both members of Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA).
Towards the end of this post is a radio interview with Jibril Hough in which he affirms that he does want Muslims to be able to practice Shari’ah law in the United States. That statement alone makes him dangerous to our legal system and way of life.
The deed for Hough’s mosque is held by NAIT (North American Islamic Trust), whose owners are members of the US Muslim Brotherhood, who are funded by the Saudis. The NAIT leaders are unindicted co-conspirators in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. They have been labeled as “joint venturers” with the Holy Land foundation who conspired to support the terrorist group Hamas (funneling money for one thing). [5th Circuit Ruling]
Hough refuses to disavow them or their beliefs.
One of the workshops to be offered at the DNC Jumah will focus on implementing Shari’ah in America.
BIMA said they will be at the Republican convention also but the RNC says it has no knowledge of it.
Hough and the Imam of the Islamic Center of Charlotte give a press conference about the DNC Jumah in the following video:
Some Muslims are very concerned about Hough, Wahhaj and the Jumah:

It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the “Jummah at the DNC”. The leaders of this event – Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj as advertised are no moderates. They are radicals. These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies.
A quick Google search by the DNC would have shown them that Hough and Wahhaj are leaders in the separatist American Islamist movement. While they may be able to get a few thousand Muslims to attend the event, they are NOT going to be mainstream Muslims. Most will likely come from Hough and Wahhaj’s radical networks that have long been entrenched in the Charlotte area. Make no mistake they are part of the Islamist movement.
This is not about their right of assembly; this group under a different name pulled the same stunt at the US capitol in 2009 claiming 20k and getting 2-3k. THIS IS ABOUT the DNC calling this an “official function” listing these radicals as typical of the DNC community and more importantly about this organization speaking out AS representing supposedly typical American Muslims (or “Mainstream”).
If that is who the DNC is consorting with then all Americans, Democrats should be concerned…
Click here for the radio Interview with Zuhdi Jasser which begins at about 6:00. During the interview, Jasser claims that Hough is anti-semitic among other things.
The host, Keith Larson, describes an interview he gave two weeks prior in which Hough sounded like a serious threat, not the mild-mannered dolt he pretends to be.
The interview became intense when Hough joined the conversation by phone at about 20:00. Hough clearly said he wants Shari’ah law in the U.S. for those who wish to practice it. Hough also complains about the unindicted co-conspirator label.
Hough is known for his ongoing battles with local congresswoman, Sue Myrick.
Rep. Sue Myrick has launched a campaign against radical islamists whom she believes have infiltrated mosques in the United States.
“Terrorists don’t target Democrats or Republicans. They target Americans, and this is why we must face this issue as Americans. Members of Congress and the American public must know the threats we face from radical jihadist terrorists. The Anti-Terrorism Caucus will give Congress the tools and resources it needs to communicate those threats to the public, as well as help them make more informed decisions when it comes to terrorist issues.”
- Rep. Myrick’s statement when announcing the new bipartisan Anti-Terrorism/Jihad Caucus in January 2007
If you don’t support ALL Muslims, you are called an Islamophobe. I would like to believe ALL Muslims but the Koran encourages lying to infidels.
