The unclassified version of the DNI report ordered by Barack Obama has been released. There is no backup data included but all the intelligence services agree they have high-confidence in their conclusions. It has to be taken on faith because there is no evidence at all.
The report is very strongly worded and claims very high-quality intelligence that Putin ordered a campaign to influence the election to undermine our democracy, undermine Hillary Clinton and support Donald Trump. When it seemed likely Clinton would win, Russian intelligence concentrated on collecting information to leverage it against her when she became president.
The report acknowledges the Russian campaign failed.
James Clapper, Director of the DNI, is the liar who said Americans were not being surveilled. He is also the person who lied and said the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization, is largely a secular organization.

Never has a report been issued like this which has the effect of undermining the incoming administration.

“While Russia, China, other countries, outside groups and people are consistently trying to break through the cyber infrastructure of our governmental institutions, businesses, and organizations including the Democrat National Committee, there was absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election including the fact that there was no tampering whatsoever with voting machines. There were attempts to hack the Republican National Committee, but the RNC had strong hacking defenses and the hackers were unsuccessful.”
“Whether it is our government, organizations, associations or businesses we need to aggressively combat and stop cyberattacks. I will appoint a team to give me a plan within 90 days of taking office. The methods, tools and tactics we use to keep American safe should not be a public discussion that will benefit those who seek to do us harm. Two weeks from today I will take the oath of office and America’s safety and security will be my number one priority.”
Whereas, the President-elect said there was absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election, the report does not make that claim. They did not make any assessment. To quote the report: “The Intelligence Community did not make an assessment of the impact that Russian activities had on the outcome of the 2016 election.”
The report also said Wikileaks came in possession of emails from a third party who received it from Russian intelligence services. No data was included to prove that. There is no evidence the emails were altered.

The US has propaganda abroad as well. We also try to influence elections. For example, Obama used over $300,000 of taxpayer dollars to try to defeat the Prime Minister of Israel Bibi Netanyahu.
Additionally, it says something we all know RT (Russia Today) is a Russian propaganda network.
The DNI report claims RT is the reason Hillary Clinton lost election. They start by naming two shows that haven’t been on air in over year. Nothing is said about her being a terrible candidate. Nothing was said about NBC/CNN/MSNBC 24/7 pro-Clinton propaganda or about NY Times and Washington Post propaganda.
They are saying little about “hacking” and are talking about Russia “influencing” the election. Instead of blaming hackers, they appear to be blaming Russia media.
They refer to trolls in the report.

Read the report yourself and decide if this is a political document or not. It’s not long but if you are looking for evidence, there is none.
