Police in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., responded to a 911 call from a man who just might earn the dumbest criminal of the year award. David Blackmon, 35, of Forth Walton Beach called the police Sunday to report someone stole a bag of cocaine and cash from his car.
He explained that he was a drug dealer and someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked.
A quarter ounce of coke and $50 were taken. Lucky for him, the officers were able to find another bag of cocaine scattered on the console and on the floor, according to the Miami Herald.
Deputy Dennis Fields’ arrest report noted, “Blackmon asked if I knew the cocaine was there, why did I let him keep talking.”
Blackmon was arrested and charged with resisting an officer without violence for allegedly refusing to follow commands, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing cocaine, which is a felony charge.
He was released Monday on a $4,000 bond.
