Environmental Impact Reports Cost $24,000 Per Page, Weigh 70 Pounds

We built The Hoover Dam and the Empire State Building in record time but we now need ten years to get an approval for any building of lesser value. It is the reason our infrastructure is falling apart.

Everyone has their hand in the till. These regulations create bureaucratic, corrupt jobs that cost taxpayers. Most are unnecessary.

President Trump addressed it today. He gave an excellent speech on transportation and infrastructure the media won’t report.

One example he used was the case of an 18-mile road. The environmental impact report cost $29 million dollars and it weighed 70 pounds at $24,000 per page. The regulations are so insane that this was necessary to fulfill environmental impact requirements.

  1. Ought to have some the bureaucrats writing the regulations start a general contracting business, with their own money, and try putting up a building. See what they can learn about how damaging & expensive “soft costs” can be.
