Tom Friedman of the New York Times warns that if the EU implodes on itself, it will produce a negative trend for the US. [That’s an understatement.]
“…the European union is the United States of Europe. It’s the center of democratic capitalism if that union begins to seize up, that’s a negative strategic trend for the United States. And because of that I think we have to re-examine how they construct a safe zone on the border of both Syria and Libya. Otherwise when the spring comes and these refugees start to flow into Europe, it’s going to have very serious implications for the other states of the world.”
The safe zone option which Obama won’t take has always been the appropriate alternative. Obama would rather see displaced people with alien values wander around the earth through open borders and end up in lands that offer them little or no future.
Germany and the rest of Europe are facing a growing divide after Angela Merkel’s right-hand man threatened sanctions against EU members who fail to control the migrant influx.
Germany’s interior minister Thomas de Maiziere vowed revenge on fellow states over their part in the refugee chaos, accusing the rest of Europe of trying to “shift the collective problem onto our back”. He made his comments after Austria put a cap on the number of migrants/refugees.
Most migrants arriving in Europe via Greece or Italy immediately travel north, heading towards Germany, Austria, Sweden and Britain for the economic benefits.
Germany is in chaos according to some reports for taking in the bulk of the refugees.
Norway is ready to abandon the Geneva Convention if Sweden collapses, according to the tabloid Spiesa. The border will be closed by force, and Swedish refugees will be rejected without the possibility to seek asylum. “We are prepared for the worst,” says Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
There is such an imminent danger that the Schengen agreement, and the asylum system in Sweden will break down, that Norway must have an emergency legislation in place in case it happens, believes Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg. Therefore, she has crafted a law that will allow for Norwegian authorities to reject asylum seekers who do not come directly from a conflict area.
The EU has long insisted there is nothing called a no-go zone anywhere in Europe. When Fox News did a report on no-go zones, they were forced to apologize and the mayor of Paris, a leftist named Anne Hidalgo, threatened to sue.
However, at least one Danish reporter Jeppe Juhl from Newsspeek TV described the deteriorating situation in Sweden, a once peaceful country that now is regarded as the rape capital of the West. Jeppe says Sweden now has 53 no-go zones where police will not enter without backup and often wear bulletproof vests. The same goes for ambulance drivers and firemen.
