The media’s job is to serve as the opposition to Donald Trump, according to the brother of the New York governor Andrew Cuomo. For those who thought they were supposed to be fair and balanced, think again guys!
Chris Cuomo said the “media cannot yield” to Donald Trump and his policies, “Because otherwise, you don’t know which way it’s going to go from day to day. That’s just a fact.”
If you were worried they might give him a chance, worry no longer.
He was talking with CNN political director David Chalian when he made those comments. Chalian was the Washington bureau chief for Yahoo News. He was fired in 2012 when he said on a hot-mic that the GOP officials didn’t care if black people died during Hurricane Isaac. He was live when he said, they are “not concerned at all. They’re happy to have a party with black people drowning.”
CNN immediately hired him with that resumé.
Allisyn Camerota was also present and was also very congratulatory during a March discussion when he talked about uplifting communism as he reminisced in Castro’s Cuba.
Chris Cuomo made a historic, nostalgic visit to Cuba in March. During a broadcast, while wearing a shirt given to his father Mario by murderer Fidel Castro, he told his team back home that communism is all about “lifting everyone up” and “making everyone equal.”
He didn’t wear the shirt because it “came from Fidel Castro necessarily, but because it marked conversations going on decades ago that were the same as those today” he told the ladies of CNN.
“The concern was the freedom of the people,” he continued. “What is the point of this communist regime if it is not to truly make everyone equal — not at the lowest level; not by demoralizing everyone; but lifting everyone up? My father, generations of politicians, have been fighting this. So, I wear this shirt as a reminder of that, and of my pop. So, there’s your answer, ladies…”
