Trump has been part of the establishment and he is a deal maker. People need to keep that in mind when they cast their votes. Those are just facts.
Like him or not, Rush Limbaugh made some good points on this show yesterday.
Rush Limbaugh, who never endorses, has taken a strong stand on an issue in the presidential election and it might truly surprise some people – if you want to send a message to the GOP establishment, send Ted Cruz to D.C.
It’s Ted Cruz, not Donald Trump, who is the proverbial middle finger to the D.C. elite.
“Ted Cruz is the only guy that was taking on the Republican establishment of all the Republicans in the race”, Limbaugh told his audience of more than ten million.
“And he was the only guy who had been fighting the establishment and he had done it to their face.”
“He goes to the floor of the Senate, he calls Mitch McConnell a liar on any number of issues [McConnell is a shameless liar], from the budget, to amnesty, to Senate rules, and Cruz had made it plain he was the guy that was gonna take it to the establishment.”
“He was such an outsider that even as a member of the Senate he was hated, despised, and that was always gonna be a resume-enhancement point.”
Trump rose because of the “force of his personality” but “it’s Trump that’s out talking about how he likes Pelosi and Reid. He could do deals with them if he had to.
Last month, Limbaugh told his audience that “If conservatism is your bag, if conservatism is the dominating factor in how you vote, there is no other choice for you in this campaign than Ted Cruz.”
“This is the closest in our lifetimes we have ever been to Ronald Reagan,” he said referring to Ted Cruz.
He added that he was not criticizing Trump.
Listen, it’s worth your time as he elaborates:
We have already had one president who could charm a snake but we need to look beyond the words and into the actions.
It is Cruz, not Trump, who is the Molotov Cocktail thrown at the establishment, he is the one who will follow the Constitution, and he can win the election.
