Common Core will nationalize education despite the denials of supporters. The testing and curriculum that align with Common Core will have the effect of nationalizing the standards, leaving little latitude for local governance. There’s big money in it and powerful corporations have partnered with foreign governments to spread its tentacles throughout the world.
Common Core has ties to U.N. and, is being extended to American schools in the Middle East, with Middle East partners. At least one of these partners is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Our Founding Fathers put safeguards in the Constitution to protect us from nationalized education because of the dangers inherent in a curriculum governed by a massive and unaccountable government bureaucracy and its corporate partners. The possibilities for propagandizing youth goes without saying.
The larger a bureaucracy grows, the more untouchable and lawless it becomes.
In March 2012, George Will, writing for the Washington Post, indicated that the lawless Obama was violating three federal laws with Common Core: the General Education Provisions Act, the Department of Education Organization Act (establishing the agency in 1979), and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA, the predecessor to No Child Left Behind). As Will points out—and the Pioneer report confirms—ESEA does not authorize any federal official to “mandate, direct, or control” the content taught in local schools. As for the other two laws, Will continues:
The General Education Provisions Act of 1970, which supposedly controls federal education programs, stipulates that “no provision of any applicable program shall be construed to authorize” any federal agency or official “to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction” or selection of “instructional materials” by “any educational institution or school system.”
The 1979 law establishing the Education Department forbids it from exercising “any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum” or “program of instruction” of any school or school system.
This is a lawless administration and they pretend that anyone who recognizes their lawlessness is a conspiracy theorist.
Trade unions in the National Governor’s Association and Race to the Top monies – only available to those who adopted Common Core State Standards (CCSS) – pushed states into buying into the Standards, some bought in sight unseen.
States had to adopt “College and Career Ready Standards” to secure Race to the Top funds and Common Core alone qualified.
Common Core is now being taught in American schools in the Middle East which focus on teaching Ex-Pats. They have sketchy partners.
The second annual MENA conference to train educators and other professionals was organized by KDSL and took place in Dubai, where the company is headquartered.
KDSL (Know.Do.Serve.Learn) is a Dubai-based global education company founded by Kevin Simpson and Alison Burrows, American educators and entrepreneurs according to their website.
KDSL partners with organizations around the world to increase student achievement, teacher knowledge, and leadership in education, according to their website.
One of their partners worth mentioning is AMIDEAST.
AMIDEAST was suspended by the Egyptian government for the 2014-2015 school year because of its radical Islamist ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization Mr. Obama supports.
PumabyDesign, who found the information about AMIDEAST, writes:
In November 2004, Bill Gates signed an agreement with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
UNESCO has been pushing to establish their World Core Curriculum into schools throughout the United States for decades.
UNESCO (the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) recently conferred membership on Palestine, which violated a 1994 congressional stipulation that no U.S. funds shall go to “any affiliated organization” of the United Nations that “grants full membership as a state to any organization or group that does not have the internationally recognized attributes of statehood.”
The U.S. cut off their funding which is 22% of their budget but Mr. Obama’s 2013 budget sought $78,968,000 for UNESCO. Obama seeks a waiver of the congressional legislation and fights tirelessly to restore funding.
The law is meaningless and inconvenient to our administration.
UNESCO seeks “worldwide curricula reflecting UNESCO values” They want a universal workforce “global citizens.”
We can expect a nation of computerized automatons in the future.
Lead Partners of the MENA Conference:
We have a president who is a globalist, a believer in the U.N., and a man who is opposed to local governance. He is a man who aspires to nationalize most sectors of government. Education is one of those sectors.
Common Core’s ties to the U.N. are undeniable.
Jim Kelly, attorney and founder of Global Governance Watch, wrote, “Since the 1948 adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations has developed a common core of international human rights principles, policies, and practices that constitutes a global ethical religion. Through the Common Core State Standards Initiative (“CCSSI”), with the co-operation of state governors, President Barack Obama and the U.S. Department of Education are using the UN human rights common core to indoctrinate impressionable k-12 students and fundamentally transform America.”
Key points from Jim Kelly’s paper:
- Since 1948, United Nations officials have developed human rights principles, policies, and practices.
- These human rights include economic rights, such as the right to food, right to housing, right to health, right to education, and right to work.
- These economic rights are the foundation of a “Second Bill of Rights,” long sought by liberal progressives.
- UN officials and human rights activists want human rights education to be taught in primary and elementary schools worldwide. [It’s now designed for pre-school through college.]
- The Obama administration, U.S. Department of Education, and states are using the national Common Core State Standards Initiative to indoctrinate k-12 grade students in a global ethical religion of human rights.
- One proposed lesson plan calls for students to study human rights, read the Pledge of Allegiance, then “rewrite the Pledge of Allegiance in words that people use today.”
- 5th grade students in New York are expected to show expert knowledge on human rights that would enable them to answer such questions as “Who has the right to marry?” and “Who gets to decide who gets married?”
- Absent publicly funded parental choice in k-12 education, the teaching of human rights violates the religious freedom of parents and their children.
“The use of the CCSSI to indoctrinate American children in UN human rights principles, policies, and practices is in its early stages. However, as other states implement the CCSSE/L curriculum, they will be inclined to rely on proven models, including the one developed and marketed by Expeditionary Learning, which includes human rights education,” Kelly wrote.
Common Core State Standards, and I use the words “State Standards” loosely, is an educational curriculum that is meant to go global and it has foundational ties to the U.N., a Socialist organization. There’s a lot of money involved and if unscrupulous people want to use it to indoctrinate the young, it’s tailor-made for that.
What could possibly go wrong?
