A former Obama administration official at the Department of Homeland Security said Sunday that when it comes to the Islamic State slaughtering Egyptian Christians, “what goes around, comes around,” the Daily Caller reported.
Mohamed Elibiary, the mad tweeter, has served on the DHS’ “Countering Violent Extremist Working Group,” as well as its “Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee.”
“Subhanallah” is Arabic for “Glory to Allah,” and Elibiary is expressing praise to Allah for the fact that ISIS is killing Egyptian Christians in alleged retribution. Elibiary is referencing the May issue of ISIS’s magazine “Rumiyah”.
Regarding his Sunday tweet, the unrepentant Elibiary told The Daily Caller News Foundation in a statement: “It’s a shame Egypt & the Egyptian social fabric was destroyed to this degree by the entry of the military into politics & economics.”
Elibiary is a strange duck unless you consider that he might be operating covertly, perhaps in spirit alone, for the Muslim Brotherhood. Then it all makes sense to some of us, but you decide. He claims to be a NeverTrump Republican.
In December 2013, an important Egyptian magazine reported that the US has six Muslim Brotherhood operatives working in the government:
Arif Aflikhan, Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA); and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.

In June, 2014, Rep. Gohmert questioned than head of DHS Janet Napolitano about Elibiary.
The Washington Free Beacon reported prior to this that Mohamed Elibiary, tweeted America is a Muslim country.
How that came about is a twitter user named Tim Lee asked Elibiary to show him one example of an Islamic country where non-Muslims are treated with equality.
Elibiary responded: “America and yes I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution. Move On!”
He was finally let go by the Obama administration because it wasn’t his first controversial tweet or comment.
In response to the tweet: “This isn’t just a foreign policy issue,” said Ryan Mauro, a national security analyst for the Clarion Project. “Elibiary’s beliefs are reflected in DHS training guidelines that leave counter-terrorism personnel unaware that the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood even exists.”
In the past, Elibiary has called Egypt’s dictator-wannabe Mohammed Morsi “Egypt’s Mandela.”
He supports The Muslim Brotherhood despite their acts of terror and claims they are no threat to the United States.
Elibiary has close ties to a convicted Hamas fundraiser and other radical Islamist causes, including a nonprofit that proclaims Shari’ah is the only legitimate law according to Islam.
Elibiary is said to have written Mr. Obama’s speech in Egypt calling for the Arab spring.
Let’s not forget he isn’t the only person Obama hired with apparent ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. The former president even de-listed some coming in to the United States with no explanation as to why he did it.
An article in the Texas Observer, a generally liberal paper, describes Elibiary as carrying on a fight against Islamophobia. He says is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and never has been, nor has anyone in his family. Only a small contingent of right-wing extremists like Glenn Beck have accused him, he says.
