Forward With George Demos for Congress

Forward with George Demos!

Three times a day for weeks, I had the dubious pleasure of watching a nasty commercial put out by George Demos, candidate for Congress in CD-1 on Long Island. The ad doesn’t address the candidate’s qualifications, mostly because that would be one short commercial.

It does however rage on about his opponent being an outsourcer. Demos uses a decades-old video of his opponent, Randy Altschuler, who owned an international business at the time. Almost every American company is international.

That’s the Demos platform – that’s it – ranting about a successful businessman who could actually provide sound business expertise to a congress badly in need of it.

Demos, on the other hand, is just another lawyer who can write some more unintelligible 2000 page bills once in office.

The commercial touts Demos’ alleged “true conservative” credentials as he prepares to marry into the far left Tsakopoulos family.

Demos doesn’t have a party to back him. The Republicans, Independents, and Conservatives are backing Randy Altschuler, not George Demos. Why would a man with no support run? Is he a shill? His ads appear vindictive and one has to wonder about his possible motives.

I don’t know how Demos could think he can win, but if he primaries his opponent, he can weaken him, setting up a win for the Democratic challenger, Tim Bishop. As an aside, Tim Bishop, another far left guy, thinks taking half a trillion dollars out of Medicare to help pay for Obamacare is not a problem.

At a recent Medicare meeting, Bishop said that money won’t matter or affect Medicare services because they have other places to get money for Medicare. I kid you not, I heard it myself, but that is for another article.

The future Mrs. Demos, Chryssa Tsakopoulos, is the 25 year old VP of AKTand AKT, Angelo’s company, has ties to George Soros. [Wow, what more could I want? Seriously, I’m all giddy about it]

Take a look at the following flow chart showing an attack ad on John McCain and look at how the money flowed. You will see AKT and Soros tied into the Fund for America web of far lefties.

Angelo, future father-in-law to George, wants to put the Republican House back in the hands of the Democrats as does Soros according to the Federal Observer [so why would Angelo want the “true conservative” George Demos in the House??? I will leave it to you to decide.] Click here for the information at the Federal Observer

If that’s not enough, you should know that Angelo Tsakopoulos is a former business partner of Phil Angelides (at AKT, where Chyrssa is VP) whom he supported for Governor in 2006. Angelides is tight with Soros and is Chairman of the extreme left BlueGreen Alliance’s Apollo Alliance Project. Apollo wrote the Stimulus bill  [that was a real winner].

Angelo Tsakopoulos did give to George Bush’s campaign, but he almost always gives to the likes of John Kerry, Bill Clinton and Ralph Nader [who in God’s name gives to Ralph Nader?]

Another business partner and friend is Paul Pelosi, brother-in-law of Nancy Pelosi.

The Tsakopoulos family might have used their power and influence in questionable ways. Angelo’s daughter, Eleni, was appointed Ambassador to Hungary. She is a good friend of Nancy Pelosi and their families have had profitable business dealings together, but Mrs. Pelosi did not mention those business connections when she lauded Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis to Congress and helped land her the position of Ambassador.

Eleni’s husband, Mr. Kounalakis said later that his business dealings and their friendships had nothing to do with the appointment. Eleni Tsakopoulos’s husband, Markos Kounalakis is on the faculty of Central European University in Budapest, founded by Hungarian American entrepreneur and financier George Soros. Read here.

The following sheds further light on the business connections and the appointment, which allegedly had nothing to do with each other and won’t further future business dealings and government appointments. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and California’s Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer also sang Eleni’s praises.

Dancing czars:…Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis, longtime friend of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was sworn in as ambassador to Hungary in January, 2010 by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Also in attendance were her father, Angelo Tsakopoulos, (holding Bible) and Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. Mrs. Pelosi‘s husband, Paul, is a longtime business associate of Mr. Tsakopoulos.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s husband, a real estate developer and investment banker, stands to make millions of dollars in a previously undisclosed residential real estate project in California as a partner with the father of a woman Mrs. Pelosi helped become ambassador to Hungary, records show…

…The Russell Ranch investment never appeared on Mrs. Pelosi’s disclosure statements until May 2010, after The Times reported that Mr. Pelosi had netted over the years between $1 million and $9 million from four real estate investments with Mr. Tsakopoulos and his company, AKT Development Corp. Those four investments did appear on his wife’s disclosure statement.

Mrs. Pelosi also did not mention the business ties when she sang the praises of Mrs. Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis at her Senate confirmation hearing in November 2009, then as the House speaker. She said she was sure Mrs. Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis would bring a “spirit of entrepreneurial, democratic ways to her service in Hungary.”

Mrs. Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis, president of AKT Development from 1997 to her 2009 appointment as ambassador, also had the support of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and California’s Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer. She was sworn in by Mrs. Clinton in January 2010 with her father and Mrs. Pelosi by her side. [Now there’s a pack of ladies I want my congressman to be buddy-buddy with]

In a 2010 interview, Mr. Pelosi said there was “no connection” between his business dealings and his wife’s role in helping Mrs. Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis become ambassador. “There is no story here,” he said. “My business dealings have nothing to do with my wife’s political career.”…[Hahahahaha] Click to read the entire story.

Check out NY Liberty Report for an interesting take on this story.

I already wrote extensively about Demos’ questionable ethics and relationships when he was an SEC enforcement lawyer. He sold out a whistleblower who blew the whistle on JP Morgan Chase. Not only did he [Demos] sell the man out, damaging his career and his reputation, but he sold him out to JP Morgan Chase whom he [Demos] was investigating at the time! He has never fully explained this.

Anyone who is worried about the illicit relationship between D.C. and Wall St. should worry about this before they cast a ballot for Demos in November. Read background information here: Questionable ethics.

Nancy Pelosi is wed to Wall Street and she is friends with the Tsakopoulos family, soon to be Demos’ family through marriage. I’d worry about that too.
