We can look forward to students changing their gender on a whim in the future. Their schools will have to accommodate their whims.
New Assembly Bill 1266, introduced by a San Fran Democrat Tom Ammiano, will “…require that a pupil be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s record.”
If a child says s/he is not the gender on his/her school record, then the school has to go with whatever the child says.
Many youths go through gender identity issues as a matter of the normal growth process. The worst thing one can do while they are confused is to play on those confusions.
The bill guarantees children who have gender issues will be subjected to peer taunting because it doesn’t remove the stigma, it highlights it.
When 6 foot tall boys end up in the little girl’s room, it could be quite dangerous.
It will also be quite confusing for staff and it won’t be helpful in disciplinary matters.
Private school or home schooling is starting to look a whole lot better.
