GOP Letter to Jeh Johnson: Terrorists Can Manipulate Our Asylum System

Terrorists are using the refugee system to come into this country. Of that there can be little doubt to any reasonable person who knows the facts. They’ve told us they will and right now, a key player in choosing our refugees is the radical Islamic organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which works closely with and dominates the UNHRC (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), the UN agency that screens our refugees.

Rep. McCaul has made it clear during a press conference Thursday that we cannot vet these people.

We are relying on the UN and Arab organizations to vet them and in the case of the OIC, they have a vested interest in sending radicals to our country to infiltrate. Muhammad told them to travel the earth and convert all to Islam. They believe in their religious superiority.

Our Homeland Security Chief Jeh Johnson is the Marxist overseer headlining our open borders policy.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Rep Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), House Judiciary Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee Chairman Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Oversight Subcommittee on National Security Chairman Rep Ron DeSantis (R-FL) wrote to Jeh Johnson to inform him, as if he doesn’t know, that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reported that individuals with terrorist connections can and probably have manipulated the asylum process.

Last year, Democrats approved entrance of asylum seekers with “some” direct connections to terrorism. In February of 2014, two new exemptions to the Immigration and Nationality Act were published by the Departments of State and Homeland Security in the Federal Register that permit refugees who provided “insignificant” or “limited” material support for terror groups to be given consideration for asylum or refugee status, according to Politico.

It immediately affected 3,000 people and an untold number awaiting deportation. Mr. Obama did say he doesn’t want any more deportations and that must mean even of people with ties to terrorism given this latest order.

Politico reported that “insignificant”, according to a DHS spokespersons, means support given by way of normal business, under pressure, or through family or humanitarian interactions.

Our definition of “refugee” has been broadened in dangerous ways and now includes many illegal immigrants.

In the letter, it said “that hundreds of known and suspected aliens with terrorist connections may be attempting to take advantage of our country’s asylum system,” and asked for a response by June 3rd for documents and information related to three specific issues:

A copy of the alien file (A-file) for each alien who was found to have a “credible fear” in FY 2014 and 2015 (through May 1, 2015) who USCIS also found the terrorism bar to asylum eligibility may apply.

For each individual covered by the above request, identify whether the alien has been released, and for each alien who has been released, whether the release decision was made by officers of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or by an Immigration Judge (IJ) or the Board of Immigration Appeals. For any alien who has been released by an order of an IJ, please state whether DHS filed a stay and/or an appeal of that decision.

The number of cases nationwide where the asylum officer found a potential INA 208(b)(2)(A)(v) bar to asylum eligibility in a reasonable fear case. For each individual covered by this request, please provide a copy of the alien’s A-file.

At least someone sent a letter, but this has been going since before Barack Obama, he only accelerated the process. Most of these letters get blown off, if not all. What will congress do about it.

Obviously, Johnson is in on the dissolution of our laws. He is now demanding that local, state and county law enforcement NOT tell ICE about illegal criminals in this country. The will get to stay.

We need action from Congress but a Congress that will sell our sovereignty for a “free” trade deal probably isn’t a Congress that will fight for this.
