We’ve got to ride this global warming issue.
Even if the theory of global warming is wrong,
we will be doing the right thing in terms of
economic and environmental policy.

President of the UN Foundation

The Constitution is the United States’ only Agenda!

I personally spoke with Helen Van Etten, National Committeewoman from Kansas and Sponsor of the RNC Resolution against Agenda 21. The resolution was signed on January 13th of this year. It has been read into the record and it was passed unanimously. We need to hear more about this from Mr. Priebus himself.

President H.W. Bush signed onto the original Agenda 21, not knowing how it would be used. He did nothing with it. Clinton did implement the Agenda 21-ICLEI program, and Obama has it running on steroids.

Agenda 21 has had 20 years to become engrained in the fabric of our local governments and we have a great deal of catching up to do. Long Island is completely buried in it at all governmental levels.

Agenda 21 sounds good on the face of it, we all want a clean, protected earth, but it can easily go out of control and then there is the uncomfortable fact that it aims to put our environmental sovereignty under the supervision of a global body.

The UN has clearly stated their mission is to infiltrate every government in the world at its smallest levels. They do want to protect the earth, but they are opposed to ownership of  private property which is in direct opposition to the core of our beliefs. They are Marxists and believe all land should conform to International Law and be owned by no one.

We need to be careful when condemning all ICLEI ideas to maintain credibility because some of the ideas are good for our country. We need to condemn ICLEI however. We don’t need to be part of a UN-Marxist initiative to do some of the things we think will benefit our communities. Green energy, efficient lighting, bike paths, some electric cars, solar, wind are all good things. Each program has to be looked at for its own merits, especially from a cost-benefits analysis.

Mixed use zoning can be okay but the zoning laws need to be read carefully, because sometimes when they change zoning to mixed use, a portion of the land is given to the government or some agency on behalf of the government.

We need to be concerned about the government land grabs via the misuse of eminent domain and mixed use zoning. NY, in particular, abuses Eminent Domain more than any other state in the union. In the name of “open spaces,” “historical preservation,” and reducing blight, the government is buying up land, some of which they give over to favored developers.

The GOP is beginning to deal with the corruption in many of theses initiatives, which is why the Democrats have stepped up their attacks on the GOP as the party that wants dirty air and dirty water.

Obama is ceding our environmental authority to the UN and the International community under Agenda 21/ICLEI.

The GOP resolution as adopted follows –
