Growing a Welfare State Only Requires a Footnote and a Lawless President

OLordThere are European companies that arrange for U.S. hotel rooms and medical care for foreign women about to give birth so they can give birth to U.S. citizens. We have people dragging pregnant women about to give birth over the border. All so they can have their anchor babies. When their children become 21, the anchor babies can then sponsor their parents for citizenship.

Anyone born in the Unites States is an American according to a deliberate misreading of the 14th Amendment by a U.S. Supreme Court justice. Our president just made all their families legal as well by allowing them all to stay if the child is an American.

While our forebears didn’t have all this in mind when they wrote the 14th Amendment, more than one hundred years later, another justice did.

liberal activist Justice Brennan

Liberal activist, Justice Brennan, picture above, sneaked a footnote into a Supreme Court opinion that created anchor babies in a 1982 case before the court. The footnote has not been removed though we have seen the damage it causes.

The 14th Amendment is a Civil War era order meant to overrule the Dred Scott decision which kept blacks from being citizens. The Amendment granted them the privileges of citizens.

It was never meant to confer citizenship on illegal alien babies.

We now have a welfare state and the drafters of the Amendment could never have dreamed that up.

In 1982, out of nowhere, Justice Brennan put in a footnote to the Plyler v. Doe 5-4 case, stating that, “no plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment ‘jurisdiction’ can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful.” (Other than the part about one being lawful and the other not.).

As his basis, he used a book by a nobody – one Clement L. Bouve. He’s a man who wrote a book in 1912 with no credentials.

In that one moment, Brennan, based on a nobody, took away our history, a hundred years of precedent, altered our sovereignty and opened us up to full-scale illegal immigration, something Barack Obama has taken full advantage of with his latest illegal memo banning deportation of parents of anchor babies.

Ann Coulter, a Constitutional lawyer brought this to the attention of the American public in 2010. It encourages illegal immigration and a welfare state, she stated.

Liberal lawyers immediately lambasted her claiming the 14th Amendment requires it, the footnote clarifies.

This is the footnote: “No plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment ‘jurisdiction’ can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful.”

Compare it to the original: “This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers.”

Brennan altered the true meaning of the 14th Amendment to something other than its drafters intended.

Geography became the deciding factor in whether one would be called a citizen. It left Americans without the freedom to decide who becomes a citizen.

It feeds the welfare state in a very dangerous way.

Thousands of Mexican woman in the late stages of their pregnancies are entering the United States illegally in such boarder states as Texas and having their babies at the taxpayers expense.

The children are eligible for all welfare benefits offered by this country.

Medicaid alone paid $2.2 billion last year to partially reimburse hospitals for unpaid illegal alien delivery bills, double the news report’s estimate.

The Examiner reported that 84 hospitals in California were forced to close their doors partly because of anchor babies.

In the bankrupt city of Stockton California, 70% of the 2300 babies born in one hospital in 2003 were anchor babies.

We are being governed by a 1982 footnote, open borders activists, and a lawless president.

Listen to the following news report from a few years back. These types of reports are no longer shown.

Then there is this from the Aztlan network in praise of the 200,000 anchor babies born each year who they believe will transform American into a new Mexico. Particularly check out the end to get their full meaning. There are Hispanic politicians who refuse to disavow them and even Univision’s host Jorge Ramos and Rep. Luis Gutiérrez have suggested the land belongs to Mexico.
